"Is it them?" "They have to be. They look just like.." Voices drifted into Rosekit's ears. She opened her eyes and with a pain stabbing into her head. She sniffed the air and noticed she wasn't in Thunderclan camp. She panicked. Where was Tigerkit?
"You're awake!" A calico she-cat meowed with her green eyes glowing. Rosekit hissed at her, "Where is my brother?" The she-cat froze and looked towards a greenish fur tom. "She doesn't know, Leaffur?" The tom shrugged. "Seems to me." The she-cat growled and yelled. "Beetlefoot! I though they knew.." Rosekit didn't listen 'cause she saw her brother hiding in the bedding. "Oh thank Starclan! I thought they hurt you." Tigerkit looked up when Rosekit talked to him. "I- where are we?" Tigerkit wailed. Rosekit wanted to join him but she knew it would do no help.
The calico came back with a vole. "Hungry?" The she-cat asked. Rosekit frowned and looked away. Rosekit could tell the she-cat lowered her ears. "Come on it's okay. My name is Echomist and I was once part of Thunerclan." Rosekit's ear's perked up. "You were? Wh- what happened?" Rosekit turned her attention to Echomist and so did Tigerkit. "Oh where to start," Echomist said down and continued,"I was a medicine cat of Thunderclan, but I fell in love with a Shadowclan cat and I regret it." Tigerkit interrupted, "Who was the 'Shadowclan cat?'" Echomists eyes darkened. "Dawnclaws. But don't ask now about him. Anways," She continued, "Soon before I knew it, I was kitting to a tom and she-kit. I had a choice of staying and getting rid of my kits or I leave and the kits stay. I couldn't let them kill my kits so I left and joined Shadowclan." Echomist's voice shuddered. Tigerkit went back to another question, "Who are your kits?"
Before Echomist could answer a cat yowled, "Thunderclan has attacked!" Tigerkit squealed and went back to hide. Echomist comforted them and told them to just stay inside the den. Rosekit listened to the cats outside fight.
The entrance of the den burst opened when a cat ran in. "Ivyfoot!" Rosekit and Tigerkit ran towards her. "Echomist? I thought you were dead." Ivyfoot stared at Echomist puzzled. Echomist nodded. "Hello sister."
