The sun shining through the curtains warm my face. For a split second I forget where I am. Shit, I was really hoping this was just a dream, but it isn't. I grab my phone and check the time, it's almost 8. I jump out of bed, I remember someone knocking on my door and waking me up. God, I was suppose to get up and help them today. I brush my teeth and throw some clothes on.

I open the door and listen, I don't hear anyone so I'm sure everyone is out working already

I open the door and listen, I don't hear anyone so I'm sure everyone is out working already. I make my way down the hallway.

Beau: Well look who decided to join the party this morning.

         I jump!

Ella: Shit! You scared me!

Beau: Haha, I'm sorry. I tried waking you up this morning. Are you a heavy sleeper?

Ella: What?

Beau: Do you wake up easy or, are you hard to wake up?

Ella: Oh, I get up pretty easy.

Beau: So, you heard me knock?

Ella: Yes, I heard you. I'm sorry I just couldn't sleep last night.

Beau: It's understandable, new place, new people. But, that also means you have the hard job today.

Ella: What's that?

Beau: You have to feed the cows.

Ella: That don't sound to bad.

Beau: Well, I can tell you now that you will need different shoes.

Ella: What kind?

Beau: Let me just put it this way, if you want those pretty little feet of yours covered in cow shit, be my guest.

Ella: Oh, so like tennis shoes or something?

Beau: I've got a pair of rain boots you can wear. I'll need to take you into town for some clothes and shoes later.

Ella: Ok.

Beau: Well, come on. We have a lot to do.

I follow him downstairs, he hands me a pair of big rubber boots. I guess my face gives the look of disgust.

Beau: What, they don't match your outfit?

Ell: Haha, sorry. I've never worn shoes like this before.
