Beau: You're with me today.

I don't show it, but deep down I'm excited. I haven't really been able to spend a lot of time with him.

Ella: What are we doing today?

Beau: Well, the vet will be out soon to check on Betsy. You want to go check on the calf?

Ella: Can we?

Beau: Of course, you still can't do much with that hand of yours. How is it by the way?

Ella: It's still a little sore, but it's getting better.

Beau: I'm glad. Well come on, let's go check on the little fella.

We ride out into the field. I get out and walk over to Betsy.

Beau: What are you doing?

Ella: I'm check on her, what does it look like?

I take my hand and rub her head.

Beau: What am I watching right now?

Ella: You're watching me pet a cow.

Beau: Wasn't you the same girl who asked me a few days ago if they could bite?

Ella: Yea, I asked Jackson also.

Beau: What was his answer?

Ella: The same as yours. I guess I just had to be a little brave.

Beau: See, they're not so bad after all. Look at that little girl.

Ella: How is she standing already?

Beau: They are up about a hour or so after birth.

Ella: I never knew that.

Beau: You can learn a lot out here. I mean look, you can fix a fence and you can help deliver a calf! How many of your friends back home can say that?

Ella: Hahah, none.

My phone starts ringing. I look down, it's my mom.

Ella: Hey, I have to take this really quick.

Beau: That's ok, the vet is here.

I walk off into the field and answer my phone.

Ella: Hello?

Mom: Hi, honey.

Ella: Hey, mom.

Mom: How are you doing?

Ella: I'm doing well, you?

Mom: I'm doing ok. I miss you.

Ella: I miss you, too.

Mom: Is Tommy keeping you busy?

Ella: I've done something everyday. You will never guess what I done last night.

Mom: What did you do?
