Natalie

Over the next few days I noticed Tristan around the school more often, I'm surprised I never noticed him before but he seems like a loner, it's like he's in a never ending pit of sadness. He seems to get happier when he sees me like there's hope in the world again, his eyes seem just a little brighter but that's probably just my imagination.

"Nat, hey Nat wait up. I'm coming to the canteen too." Kelsey shouted.

"Then hurry up, Kelsey. I don't want to be in a long line."

"Then maybe you should have pre-ordered this morning, smart one."

"Don't sass me."

"Seriously, who says sass?"

"I do, so shut up!"

"Valentine's Day is coming up and I wanna ask out Jaime."

"What! Why? He's Jaime."

"Because I do alright?"

"Whatever. That's gonna fail but do what you want."

"Meaniefart!!"

Tristan

I'm watching her walk across the courtyard. I know she's seen me all the times i've been staring, hoping she comes and talks to me because I definitely don't have the courage to talk to her. I blew it last time but I was just so nervous and now I'm even more depressed cause nothing ever seems to go right for me.

I'm walking lost in my thoughts when suddenly i hear,"OW! Watch where you're going jerk."

I have a loner badboy reputation so I was going to to tell her to- well let me just say it would not have been pleasant but then i saw Natalie on the floor in front of me as her eyes met mine we just stared for a moment until reality had to come and hit like a brick.

"Jerk you knocked her over and you can't even help her get up!" Natalie's friend screamed.

"It's fine Kelsey."

"No it's not Nat. This guy is a huge jerk face!"

I finally snapped out of it but couldn't remember how to form coherent sentences, like the idiot I am, I just stared until she got up from the floor, dusted off her skirt and walked away.

As I said before, things never go right for me, my train doesn't even seem to know where the track is.
