I ran down the stairs still in my pajamas

" The foreign exchange student is coming today!!"

I shouted excitedly at my mom. My family got offered to have an exchange student live in our house knowing they would go to my school I begged my mom for weeks to except the offer.
My mom laughed a little

"calm down y/n you don't want to scare them when they get here."

"Come on mom can you just tell what you know about them I'm dying to knowww" I groaned

Since I was so excited for this her and my dad came up with this stupid idea that they are going to keep everything they know about the exchange student a secret so I can "meet them for myself" and "it's a surprise it will be fun" but I can't wait any longer!

" Ok fine Y/N I'll tell you one thing"

"Really!! Ok ok what is it tell me!"

"They are coming from London"

This got me so much more excited LONDON they are British I've always wanted to visit the UK but I'm only 16 so my mom won't let me go myself with friends and my family has never gone.

" LONDON!" I screamed 

My mom just started laughing. Then I heard stomping coming down the stair. It was my brother Charlie.

[Introducing Charlie: age 14 ]

Charlie stopped half way down the stairs to talk

" Do you realize that it is 7 in the morning on a Saturday Y/N can you quit being so loud you dumb aaaaahhh .. heyyyyy mom" 

He was about to call me a dumb ass until he saw our mom standing with me. She wasn't paying attention anyways she was busy making breakfast for my little brother and sister.

Charlie and my mom started having some random conversation so I went back upstairs to my room to FaceTime my best friend Maddie
