"Where are you anyways!" I hear mom shout from her room. But she didn't sound happy she sounded rather mad

"Work. Yea work then how come when I called your boss she said you got off work at four o clock ITS SIX JOSE! WHY ARE YOU LIEING TO ME!?"

Mom and dad have been arguing a lot recently and dad is never home. From what I'm hearing he hasn't been gone at work.

"Charlie can you please take ash and cam and go play with them. play a record for them or something." I said calmly trying not to alarm cam and ash with the screaming going on in the other room.

"No I wanna hear what's happening."
"CHARLIE!" I raised my voice because there's no need for the twins to hear this.
"Fine"
Charlie stomped away

My friends were still over and were planning on staying the night.
"Where do you think he's been going." Maddie whispered to me

"I don't know obviously not somewhere he wants us to know about."
Finn, Hawk, and Louis were staying quiet probably out of discomfort.

"Chelsey WHY IN THE HELL ARE YOU WITH CHELSEY!" I hear my mom scream

Oh shit.

Chelsey is the girl my mom caught my dad Jose texting. Like a lot. Last year. She thought he was cheating on her with chelsey, but they made up after the argument and looked past it.

Clearly dad didn't look past her...

"Just be honest with me Jose are you seeing her?" She said calmly but I heard her shaking voice.

"Jose don't just stay quiet ARE YOU SEEING HER!" She screamed the last part.

" oh my god you are." This time she didn't sound mad she sounded shocked, disappointed, and sad. So sad

"YOU KNOW WHAT HAVE FUN WITH THAT WHORE CHELSEY YOUR STUFF WILL BE IN BOXES ON THE FRONT PORCH IN LIKE THREE DAYS!"

"OH OH where am I supposed to stay for the three days?!l she said in a mocking voice
"I DONT GIVE A SHIT WHERE YOU STAY. STAY WITH CHELSEY YOU D;CK!"

Then she hung up.

I hear her fall down to the floor and start to sob.
"Hey guy I know there was good news and all today but would you mind-.."
Hawk cut me off
"It's probably better for your mom to not go threw the stress of having 3 people staying over we get it."

"Are you guys sure I feel bad canceling plans like that."
"Y/n we understand we heard what just happened try and comforting her okay she's an amazingly sweet woman and like a second mom to me I hope she gets threw this all." Finn

"Thank you guys for understanding so easily." I paused "wait do you need a ride my mom can cool down a little with no one in the house."

"Sure.. yes ."  Maddie said almost in tears she felt so bad for my mom.

I wrote a note

we heard what was going on charlie and the twins went to me room and played music.. I'm driving Eli, Maddie, and  Finn home and probably will take the kids to the store real fast love you mom. <3

I skipped the note under the door.

"Charlie's, Cameron, Ashlynn do whatever when I'm done dropping off Maddie, Finn, and Eli Me and Louis are taking you for ice cream how's that sound?"

"Okay I guess." Charlie looked like he was trying to hold back tears as hard as it was for him to hold it in.

He knew getting ice cream meant bad news especially if moms not coming with.

I was holding Louis' hand under the table slightly squeezing it with my leg shaking.

He started slowly stroking the top of my hand with his thumb to calm me down a bit. I few butterflies went threw me and I stopped shaking my leg. It did calm me down a bit.

"We are seven you know we may be little but we aren't THAT little we are in second grade we know mom and dad are fighting again."

Ashlynn said in her soft high pitched voice.
"Yea but we know they always make up THATS why they love each other so much." Cameron said forming a big smile on his face licking his ice cream.

I've been holding in tears all night and that was just so sad and disappointing how do you break to a seven year old that your parents are getting a divorce. I cant I just cant mom will have to tell them.

This little sentence from cam snapped me in half like a stick. I stood up from my seat speed walking to the other side of the ice cream parlor. Louis following right behind.

He quickly wrapped me into a hug and I rested my head of his shoulder and just let out a faint crying squeal and gasp for air.

"I'm so sorry you have to see my family like this you didn't sign up for all of this. You signed up for a fun year mot family problems... I'm sorry.  Im so sorry you have to see... me like this."

"Hey hey hey it's okay everyone goes threw struggles and hard times just a matter of when I'm here and I can't express how great full I am for getting to stay with you and your family your mom and family will get threw this. I promise."

Author: so there's some spice to the story but was it the drama no no it was not. Is this story going to slow? Or to fast? Help. Feedback?
