Julis view
I was slowly getting bored, so I decided to go back to the lobby to get to know the others better. On my last visit, I didn't exchange a single word with the others. Maybe just introduced them, but only with my mother's last name. I only recently took my father's last name because I decided to go back to my father.
Through Jarvis, I found out that my dad was going to throw a party today because I was back. Unfortunately, I didn't have any suitable clothes for such occasions. During my education, I never went to a party. I was more of a drifter, but that was okay.
When I got downstairs, there was no one from the Avengers. Well, whatever. I'll just look around here then.
I walked down the hallway, lost in thought, not even knowing where I was going.
This place has changed a lot since I was here as a child. It's more modern. When I was little, Dad and I used to say that I was like a little lost child coming towards him. That's how I took it. Sure I was mad at him at first because I had to find out he was my dad, but he couldn't handle it.
"Is there anything I can help you with?" Asked a voice behind me.
Confused, I turned to face the person. It was a handsome man. He had blond hair and was wearing what was called a blue costume. It was Captain America. Just how here he right?
"Well..." I stuttered "I'm just looking around here if that's allowed."
He started to smile "I think you are allowed. You are Tony Stark's daughter after all." Suddenly he shook his head and then held out his hand to me " well where are my manners? My name is Steve Rogers."
I returned his greeting "Juli. I don't have to tell you my last name, you should know it" I replied.
He started to smile. "Well, you're right. It hasn't escaped me."
"You can call me by my first name. I feel so old when you do that." I wanted to tell him. After agreeing to be on a first-name basis, we headed back to the lobby, where almost all of the Avengers were already back.
------
Little by little, I got to know the Avengers better. I became best friends with Natascha and Pepper. The two girls have also declared themselves ready to help me with the clothes search.
We left the tower and went shopping. Honestly? I hate shopping. Despite the two women, this tour was not so easy. Quite a few dresses were tried on. There was always someone who didn't like it.
After beaten 3 hours I already wanted to give up my hope, what was because of only one dress. Until we met Steve quite by chance.
"Oh Steve, also on the way?" Asked Natasha, while Pepper continued to look for a dress.
"Yes, for once in my life, I wanted to own a real suit." He said confidently.
"You're really on time" said Pepper, who just came with two more dresses. "Can you please help us choose?" Pepper asked sweetly.
"Why me?" I guess he doesn't like shopping either, especially with women.
"You're a man. You can say directly what works well for you." Answered Pepper to Steve's question with raised eyebrows.
Finally he agreed and waited until I had put on the first dress. There was a "wow" here and there , but that wasn't enough for me. When I tried on the second dress, I watched myself in the mirror before I went out. The dress was dark red and went down to the floor. It had silver stones at the waist and had a strap that stayed only at the shoulder. To be honest, I liked the dress the best so far, but let's see what the others say.
Leaving the cabin, I didn't hear a single word. Was it that bad? Until finally someone spoke up.
"Wow. That's all I can say" said Steve, dumbfounded. If he says that, then I have to believe him. If I'm not mistaken he didn't say anything about the last dress.
"I'll go along with that. The dress will be bought" said Pepper delighted because we finally found a dress.
Now the party tonight is still waiting for us.
-------
Slowly but surely the time went on and the party was soon before the door. Am curious what kind of parties my dad leads. I lay on my bed and didn't know what else to do with myself. I took my phone in hand and looked at what time we had. The party starts at 7 pm. So I would still have an hour. I don't have to be the first one at the party either.
Now I got up and went into the bathroom. I ran the water in the bathtub. When I was in the tub I thought about the first time I met my dad.
Back then
When the cab driver stopped in front of the towers and told me that I was where I needed to be, I got out. Already in the car I admired the size of the tower. I was so small and the Tower was so huge. When I finally continued on my way, I also admired the inside of the tower. I was stopped at a kind of info by a nice lady."Well little one? Looking for something?" She asked very kindly, bending down to me.
"I'm just looking for a..." and briefly looked at a sheet of paper, where the name was written on it, to whom I should " Mr. Stark. "
This woman straightened up again and led me to the elevator.
"You have to go to floor 62, there's a door on the right and you'll find it there." She explained to me, whereupon I nodded and did what she told me.
When the elevator door opened again, I stepped out and looked around. Right she said? And just as she promised, there was a door. The floor I was on looked a lot like a living room. What else could be found here, I might find out later. But I had to find Mr. Stark first.
I knocked on the door, but nothing moved. So I knocked harder until finally something happened. The door opened and there was a man. He had brown hair, brown eyes and had a well shaped beard.
"Oh it's you I thought you were Fury. Let me know if you see this guy. Tell him I'm not here." He gave a relieved greeting and closed the door again. Was that his Erns just now? Here stands a child and he talks about another man? It's normal that children just knock on the door and then carry a suitcase with them.
So I knock again. The door was opened again after a few seconds.
"What is it, little one? Does your kindergarten have hiking day today?" He asked me, finally expecting an answer as well.
"Are you Mr. Stark?"
"You must know. Sure I am."
I handed him a letter, intended only for him, from my mother. She had strictly forbidden me to open it. And I am a curious girl.
He took the letter and opened it right before my eyes. He was apparently a fast reader or there wasn't much on the letter because he ended up addressing me about it.
"I'll show you to your room. But I want to tell you one thing in advance!" He threatened me with his index finger. "This room is off limits to you. This is my study and I don't need any mess."
I just nodded.
Today
When I was done bathing and dressing, I did my hair.
I decided on a braided hairstyle. They weren't particularly hard to do and it went quickly. I will not put on makeup. I like it when I am natural. With everything done, I also went to the elevator and pressed a button that led me to the lobby.
