slightly and attempted editing...
I fumbled with my locker combination, " 24, 13, 3-"
"Hey loser." I heard the world's most annoying voice behind me.
I didn't even bother turning around." Get away from me, freak."
"Not gonna happen, princess, not when you made us- i mean me, get into trouble last year." He said.
I sighed. Chris was my enemy since first grade. It all started 9 years ago when he betted me on getting the higher score in class. We both did. We have been challenging each other since then. I grabbed my books and walked away from him, but turning around to see that he was behind me.
" Just 'cuz everyone thinks we're perfect together doesn't mean we are!" I protested.
He ignored me and followed me. "A friend of mine told me your schedule. You know that i have science too right?" Ugh. Stalker.
Now we have class together. So much for hoping that nothing would happen on the 1st week of school.
I glared at Chris, walking beside me. He just smirked his signature smirk/grin but I wasn't going to fall for him that easily. Ignoring his footsteps trailing behind me, I walked inside the science classroom as if he wasn't there. Unfortunately, he had to ruin my 'good day'.
"Hey babe, sup?" Chris brushed a lock of hair out of my face and pretended that he just saw me. I punched him in the stomach. Everyone in the class was staring at us. I ignored them and took a seat at one of the desks and saw a note slipped in probably by Gavin, his friend.
Hey A, here's a challenge for you
The first person to like the other loses. Winner gets to boss the loser around for a whole entire week.
Challenge accepted?
-C
I mentally groaned, smiling on the outside. Hey, I wasn't a cheerleader for nothing.
However, I knew that this Challenge was gonna bring me no good, and probably a lot of trouble. But pride won over embarrassment.
-challenge accepted- I mouthed. He flashed that 'charming' grin of his that practically melted everyone {except mine}'s heart. I rolled my eyes. "Freak." He blew me a kiss. I covered my face with my hands, earning a glare from our science teacher.

What kinda teachers does our school have? By the time for last block, everyone had heard about our bet. Somehow.
They were whispering about us everywhere. Ms. Smiths, the secretary announced over the speaker that we had to go to the principal's office. Since Chris and I were in Math together ( yes, i lead a sad life ), everyone literally stared at us while we walked out of class. My face burned.
"Chris, Alice, remember the food fight you guys started last year?"
"Nope." Chris cockily replied, putting his arms around my shoulder. Just because he always had girls to hug, or admire him doesn't mean I would. I brushed his hand off. "I remember that you kids haven't been punished for that yet." Proudly, he announced the punishment.
"Alice, and Chris, first of all, you guys-"
"Wait! Theres more than one?!" Chris blurted, astonished.
Mr. Hamilton ignored him " will have to be partners for all classes you have with him. Science, Math, P.E., and Art. Secondly, if you guys both don't get a C+ or above for tests, both of your captain rank for Cheer leading and Football will be given to someone else. Also, Alice, you will have to tutor him no matter what. "
Darn! It dawned on me that I would have to see Chris' ugly face for the rest of the year every day. Tutoring( he sucked at math), Classes... AHHHHHHHHHHHH- Why was everyone trying set us up?

I sooo couldn't let Libby, my best friend, drive me home, that was totally NOT an option. She was the major shipper of Calice! My best friend sucks sometimes.
Just then, Chris sauntered past by. "Lookin' for a ride, babe?" "No, jeez, f*ck off! Just to warn you, that kind of stuff doesn't work!"
"I thought happiness started with H, why does mine start with you?"He continued. I like, face-palmed.
He sniggered.
"C'mon sexy. That doesn't do any harm..."
eww... Being the immature me, I ran away from him, that guy was way too desperate to win. As I stormed out of the hallway, I was blocked by Libby and her boyfriend, Jake."We're not driving you ho-me!" She teased.
"What do you want?" I turned around to walk the other way, bumping into Chris.
"Aww... are you losing already? Afraid to look into my eyes?" Chris and I had a little stare down competition.
After a bunch of muttering and arguments and swearing, I got into Chris' car. He tried to make small talk with me, but I tried to ignore him. And failed. He was way too annoying. "Hey Ali, wanna go out for ice cream sometime?" "Can you go to my house and study together on Friday?" "Are you going to Peter's party?Wanna be my date?" He winked at me, and nearly crashed on a lamp post. I sighed. " No. Not likely. Probably. and No." " He entwined his finger fingers into mine. I shook them off. nope. I wasn't that kind of girl. Not yet.

Monday...
We went to the fair yesterday. Gavin and Libby forced us. They would so fit as a couple! Both really annoying. Still, it was kinda fun. He paid for everything anyways :D. I dug for my phone in my backpack, it was my only way of surviving History- gaming or texting.

A buzzing sound came from the inside of my desk. I turned it on seeing a perverted picture as the background with Chris and a... girl.
What?! OMG! I GOT HIS PHONE? I immediately(mentally) hand-sanitized my hands. Just in case, you know. Even if we had to exchange our phones back, it had to be next week. Chris had a football tournament this week. Sh*t. I felt quaint.
Well hey guys thanks for reading! I know, yeah this isn't the best chapter in the book but please don't give up on it! I tried to edit it a little, but please point out any mistakes or typos in this chapter.
