Heyo sorry for the long wait. A long-ish chapter to make up for it. (slightly edited) Vote Comment Share and Follow! Here goes~

Monday:

Oliver hasn't talked to me since 'the day'. He has been acting a tad bit weird. I don't know. Today is Monday, so there's school. Mondays are the worst. You wake up late for school, your hair's all messed up, and you feel so cranky. I saw him in the hallway, and gave a friendly wave. Despite it being Monday, I actually woke up early and made an effort to my appearances.

I was dressed in a thin, silky dark blue crop top with interesting swirly patterns on it, accompanied by many different smaller patterns and shapes. I matched this look with a pair of white shorts, slightly ripped at the bottom. Topping of the look, I wore gold bracelets and a gold watch, gold bracelets, and a simple pair of gold sandals. Was I overdoing the gold? I hope not. I also let my hair down, allowing my uncontrollable gold curls to tumble down my shoulders.(gold again :D) Lastly, I applied a thin coat of eyeliner, and put on this time, a cotton candy flavored Chapstick. (sorry I forgot the link)

"Hey," Chris' eyes flickered quickly up and down my body. Was he checking me out? I was so winning. "Cool outfit." I gave him a small smile. "Thanks."He walked beside me. I frowned."We have class together, remember?" He said."Oh right." We walked silently together to class. Silence never felt so beautiful and calming before.

The cafeteria bustled with people. I walked over to the sandwich booth and bought a tuna sandwich. Nothing was better than tuna sandwiches for a Monday. Chris walked towards me. "Hey."

We were standing really close to each other, and I felt uneasy. Backing away, I replied. "Hi, waddya want?" I plastered on a smile. "Um," He scratched his neck uncomfortably. "Wanna go get ice cream today after school? I'll pick you up as soon as I can at The Sugar Bowl. My sister's coming, she's been nagging me to take us three to eat ice cream. She really likes you." I smirked. "It's more like you like me so much that you're asking me out for ice cream with your sister. But ok. If Catherine's coming, I am." He looked a bit flustered and nodded. "See you then." He said stiffly, and walked away. I headed to our table, and sat down.

Libby was giggling. "Did he ask you out?" I repeated our conversation to Libby. "His sister's such a cutie pie, and he's gonna pay for the ice cream, and you know how much I love cookies and cream." She grinned."Remember to save some for me," She said playfully. "Also remember to give me the details of you guys kissing!"I gave her a small punch on the shoulder. "Nah, too lazy to." Libby fake-pouted, and gave me the puppy-eyes look. I gave in."Fine, I'll ask Chris." She smiled again, and I couldn't help but wonder why I was even friends with her

I rode my bike to The Sugar Bowl. Libby and a smaller, thinner, version of her entered the shop. The bell rung once more. "Hiii!" Libby waved enthusiastically. The other girl looked around. "This is my sister Jules, by the way, she's going to our school next week." Jules glanced at me, and shot me a half grin. "A strawberry smoothie for me please," Libby ordered lemonade with ice shaped ice cubes and a yellow heart shaped straw. They left together.

The bell rang again, and I looked up halfway through making the smoothie to see whom it was. Oliver? "Yeah, it's me, why so surprised? " Oliver looked at me with a puzzled expression. "I-Um...""I was wondering if you would like to join me-" He began, and slung his arm around my bare shoulders. I immediately stiffened, and he dropped it, as if nothing had happened. I don't know why I did that, but that definitely felt uncomfortable.
