Ali's P.O.V:
I lay on my bed staring at the celling absently. I trusted Chris, I really did, but Oliver? He was with Jules today though... Was Chris really telling the truth?
I've gotten to know Chris more now, and he seemed like the jerky but honest and genuine kind of guy. But him tearing up? No one's seen him cry before. Unless his acting skills were awesome, Chris couldn't have started crying like that. And his sister, how he'd talk about her like that, making it seem like it was his fault that she nearly got rápëd. I decided to trust Chris on this one.

Chris' POV
School again. I wonder how it'll go at school. Would Ali believe me? I was dying to find out. I slipped on some low waist jeans, a thin T-shirt, with a pair of Vans and left the house, munching on a bagel.
When I got to school, the hallways were already filled with people. I spotted Ali next to her locker unpacking. She stopped midway, shaking her beautiful curls out of her bun. I couldn't help but rake my eyes down her body, lingering on her perfect curves a little too long. She noticed me, and waved. I woke out of my daze and walked over to her.
"So about Oliver..." She smiled slightly. "
I'm kinda over him now, so..." A look of surprise flashed across my face before I replied. "Oh? You believe me?" She nodded. "For once." and we both laughed.

Sure, the tension wasn't as bad as what I'd thought, but it still was pretty awkward. At lunch, I finally made out the decision to ask her to Homecoming. When I walked over to Ali's table, all eyes were on me.
"Uh, hey Ali," She turned around, smiling. God those lips...
"Hi! What's up?" I snapped out of my trance for the second time in today and stuttered. "I-I um... Will you please come to Homecoming with me?" She stared at me for a while looking a bit confused, and I scratched the back of my head, embarrassed. "Never mind, see yah." I turned around about to walk away.
Ali's P.O.V.
Chris asking me? I stared at him wordlessly. What? Then I remembered the whole purpose that he was being nice to me. The Challenge. And I thought he liked me. Wow. You're so pathetic, Ali. Nearly falling for that. It's not like he'll like you in the first place. He only likes leggy blondes. Which you happen not to be. The voice in my head kept taunting me.
When he was about to walk away, I stopped him. "Um..." He turned around, looking hopefully.
"I'm sorry," His eyes were cold instantly, showing zero hints of hurt. "Yeah okay," He turned around and walked away. I could feel staring.
"Dude!" Libby whisper-shouted from across the table. "That blonde's asking him out to the dance and to a date!" I stiffened.
"OMG! She looks like a model!"
