Chapter Four

Madison woke up and saw Chuck leaning over me. " Hey! " He said and I almost fell over. " Gosh.. You scared me. " Madison said while trying to catch her breathe. " Oh sorry. Well its time to wake up! ' Chuck said trying to not to laugh at her. Madison got up and started walking with Chuck. Thomas ran over and hugged you. " Hey mads " Thomas said with a giant smile on his face. Newt walked up beside him " Hey Maddy " newt said with a smile.

 " hey guys! " I said looking over Thomas shoulder.

" What are you looking at? " Thomas said looking behind him seeing a guy standing there.

" You like him? " Thomas asked and Newts face went to happy to mad and sad.

"No.. He keeps looking at me and its just kinda scaring me.. " Madison said. 

" oh don't worry about him. He's a jerk. " newt said putting his arm around her shoulder.

" Thanks Newt " I said smiling looking up at him.

" Madison! lets get food already! " chuck said pulling Madisons arm and running.

" Talk to you guys later! " Madison yelled back at them.

- Newt's POV -

" We should probaby go talk to gally.. He is making her uncomftable! " Thomas said.

" We don't want to start anything " I said but I saw Thomas walking fast over to Gally and I followed.

" hey stop staring at Madison! " Thomas said and his voice filled with anger.

" So what? She a monster.. A beast! Why do you think I pushed her in the maze! She not worth being here! " gally yelled.

Anger filled my body when he said that about her and before I know it I punched him out and he was on the ground and Thomas looked at me with complete shock and next thing I know Alby and a whole bunch of other gladers ran over.

" he needs to be put in the maze! The rule was to never hurt another glader!" Gally yelled with his nose and mouth bleeding.. A lot.

" Newt.. The rules.. " Alby said.

" You can't- He was saying how Madison was a beast! I had to punch him! " Newt said.

" You can't do that to Newt! Look what he Gally did to Madison! Pushed her in the maze and- " i stopped talking getting cut off by Madison.

" Put me in the Maze not him.. I pretty much started this and I can't let that happen to Newt.. " She said walking out of the crowd over to me.

" Madison.. Please.. He don't deserve that. " I said to her grabbing her hands.

" nether do you " She said to me.

" Gally.. Week in the pit and you two are off the hook since Gally did start it. " Alby said walking away and people grabbing Gally pulling him to the pit.

I see a tear go down Madison's face. " Thank you.. For protecting me Newt.. " She said pulling me into a hug and I hug back. She put her head in my neck. We pull away and she walks over to Thomas and grabs his hand. " Thank you thomas " She said to him letting go of his hand and walking to the maze doors and sitting in front of them.

" What happened?! " Mihno said walking over.

" A.. lot. " I replied to him walking over to Madison.

- Madison's POV -

Newt came and sat beside me. the maze doors were gonna shut soon and I just wanted to watch them shut.

" Hey.. What are you doing? " He asked me.

" Just waiting for the doors to shut.. " I said looking to him.

" Why did you do that for me.. " I said looking back at the doors.

" Because.. I care about you a lot.. " He said to me.

" I care about you too.. I rather me go in the maze then you get sent too.. You been here 3 years.. I been here a couple days.. " I said looking down at the ground.

" Madison.. I wouldn't let you go back in there.. Never.. " Newt said. I looked in to his eyes and he looked in to mine.

I crashed my lips on to his and he kissed back.

We stopped kissing and Thomas Mihno and Chuck ran over.. They didn't see us kiss so thats good.

" We are here to watch the doors shut with you! " Chuck said sitting beside me, Mihno sitting beside Newt and Thomas sitting in the middle of me and Newt.

Me and Newt always looked at each other and looked away. Thomas put his arm around me and smiled and I looked back at the doors waiting for them to close. Newt looked at me and saw Thomas arm around me and he looked at the ground.

- newt's POV -

Me and Madison kissed.. Then Thomas has his arm around her? I still can't believe we kissed and I know Madison doesn't think of Thomas that way.. Right? What does she even see me as?

The doors closed and we all watched.

" wow that was so excited. " Mihno said.

" Lets play hide and seek! " Chuck said and we all agreed.

Madison agreed to be it so we all went and hid.

After a while I noticed that her coming to the tree I was hiding behind.

She poped beside me and we started kissing. We stopped kissing and saw Thomas right there across from me and Madison with a tear running down his face and he ran off. Madison chased him..

Whats going to happen..
