Chapter Five

- Newt's POV -

There she goes running after Thomas.. I look behind me to see Chuck and Mihno walking up.

" We still playing or what? " Chuck asked.

" I don't think we are.. Thomas ran off crying.. " Mihno said looking the way Thomas ran off.

" Why was he crying? " Chuck said and they both looked at me.

" Well umm.. " I couldn't finish the sentance.

" What?! " they both said.

" HE SAW ME AND MADISON KISS.. OKAY?! " I said louder then expected. They had a shock look on there face.

" What ever happened to just playing hide and seek! " Chuck said throwing his arms in the air and walked away.

" So you kissed Madison while you knew Thomas liked her..? " Mihno asked me.

" I don't know.. and for the record we kissed each other " I said to him.

" Okay, hope you figure this out. Im gonna go to sleep " Mihno said walking away.

- Madison's POV -

" THOMAS! THOMAS! " I yelled after him when I saw him sitting on a log and I sat beside him.

" Hey Thomas.. " I said to him.

" What do you want?? " He asked me looking in a different direction.

" I am sorry.. I knew you liked me and I guess- " I didn't get to finish cause he cut me off.

" Going off and kissing Newt when we are spose to be playing a game! " Thomas said with lots of anger.

I put my hand on his knee. " I'm so sorry.. What can I do to make you forgive me? " I said to him.

" ...... Well...... " Thomas said looking down.

- Newt's POV -

I was sitting in front of the maze doors, It was pretty dark outside but I had a torch so I could see. I heard somebody behind me and saw Madison come and sit up beside me.

" Hey.. " Madison said.

" Hey ' I replied, I didn't know what else to say.

" He was pretty upset.. but I made him a deal.. " Madison said looking down and then looking my my eyes.

" Whats that? " I ask her.

" To give him a chance... " She said looking back at the closed maze doors.

" So your dating him? " I said, Trying not to fill my voice with anger.

" No.. I am going to be going on a date I guess you could say.. with him. " Madison replied.

" Oh. " I said looking back at the maze doors.

Me and Madison both looked at each other.

" What about us? " I ask her.

" I don't know.. " Madison said then grabbing my hand.

" I don't know what there is between us.. But I hope we figure it out " I say to her with a little smile.

" me too. " She says with a smile and we look back at the doors.

- the next day-

- Madison's POV -

Chuck came and woke me up like always.

" So.. Who do you like? " Chuck asked me very seriously.

" I know there is that drama going on.. I am always here, You can talk to me. " Chuck said sitting beside me.

" Okay well.. I like newt.. A lot.. but I also kinda like Thomas and I don't know what to do anymore " I said then I just ran towards the maze and inside. I could hear Chuck yelling from behind me but I didn't listen.

- Chuck's POV -

" Newt! Thomas! Mihno! " I said running up to them.

" Whats the rush? Where Madison? " Newt said in a rush.

" She ran into the Maze!! " I said very fast.

- Newt's POV -

" What!? " I said then saw Mihno and Thomas running for the maze.

" Why did she?! " I asked Chuck.

" Well she was talking about how she really likes you but she kinda likes Thomas.. Then she ran in " Chuck said.

My heart almost stopped when Chuck said that she really likes me..

" She really l-likes me? " I ask Chuck again.

" Thats what she said. " Chuck said.

" but come on, Lets go wait at the doors! " Chuck said and we went to the doors and a whole bunch of other gladers came.

I was getting really worried.. I don't want anything to happen to her.

- Madison's POV -

I kept running intil I noticed.. I didn't know how to get back.. I was lost..

I fell to my knees.

' Why could I be so stupid! " you yelled out and then you turned your head seeing Thomas and Mihno and you got up and ran to Thomas and gave him the biggest hug.

" Can we do this later? " Mihno said and and we all started running. I followed them of course and then we saw the doors and they were about to close. We ran and we all made it threw and I saw Newt and gave him the biggest hug.

" don't do that!You scared the heck out of me! " Chuck said.

" I'm sorry Chuck " I said to him and hugged him.

" Hey mads.. I don't know if its the right time.. But I would love to take you on that date now.. " Thomas said scratching the back of his head. I look over to Newt who is looking at the ground. I didn't know what to do.. But I know I promised Thomas so.. 

" Sure.. " I said.

" Great! " He said grabbing my hand pulling me to the forest.

I look over to Newt who has a sad look on his face and he walked away.

- Newt's POV -

I went and sat down beside Chuck.

" You know she really likes you.. " Chuck said to me.

" She has a funny way of showing it " I said taking a drink of water.

- madison's POV -

I ran with Thomas to the log we sat on before.

" Whats this? " I ask him.

" Were just gonna sit and talk " Thomas said with a smile.

- Later -

- Newt's POV -

I saw Madison and Thomas come out of the forest. Madison came and sat beside me.

" hows your boyfriend? " I asked Madison.

" Well.. " Madison said and my heart just broke.
