Ms. MacKay made us meet by a grassy picnic area by a like near the rink. There was a picnic table where, Charlie, Fulton, Goldberg and I sat. Then there was an upside-down canoe where Julie, Dean, and Jesse sat. Then across from the picnic table where Ms. MacKay was standing there was 3 logs where, Adam, Kenny, Averman, Dwayne, Luis, Connie, and Guy sat.
Coach Bombay informed us that we should wear the new tracksuits to the 'class' because we'll be roller skating as a team afterwards

"Ancient Greece was the beginning of Western Civilization. See, in Greece, they didn't have professional sports... or Wheaties boxes. So the athletes competed for another reason." Ms.MacKay started explaining
"Anybody?" She asked
"Falafels?" Goldberg answered sarcastically
"Ohh. Greg." Ms.MacKay said laughing
"You wish, Goldberg." Connie said laughing with Guy
Charlie then raised his hand
"Charlie?" Ms. MacKay said pointing towards his hand
"Pride." Charlie said with a smile
I looked up at his and gave him a smile, since I was sitting below him
"That's right. The various city-states waved their flags... and wore their home colors proudly." Ms. MacKay said proudly
"Did America always dominate?" Fulton asked
"Fulton." Jesse laughed out
"That's a good question." Dean said standing up for Fulton's ridiculous question
"No. America wasn't around back then." Ms. MacKay began to explain
"it's okay." Jesse said as he patted Fulton's shoulders
"Don't forget that compared to other countries... America is still young, still forming its own identity. America is a teenagerjust like you." Ms. MacKay said
"Like us?" Jesse asked confused
"You bet. A little awkward at times... but always right there on the verge of greatness." She said making everyone smile.
