Chapter 3: Scars

( 1 Day before the entrance exams for UA)

Savanna's Pov

I wake up earlier than usual today. Checking the alarm clock on my side table next to my bed reading 4:30.

"Ha I woke up 30 mins earlier then I needed." I say as I stretch my arms.'

I hop out of bed and slip into my slippers. I look at the calendar on my wall and see the day.

"Looks like today is the last day of training and preparing for the entrance exam." I say quietly

I walk to the bathroom and started getting ready.

~My morning routine~ First I get into a nice and hot shower. As fog fill up the bathroom I get my hair wet and grab the shampoo rubbing it thoroughly through my hair. It was wash day after all. I get out the shower after scrubbing myself clean with my favorite bath and body works scent Japanese cherry blossom. The whole bathroom smelled like it. I blow-dry my hair and moisturize it. Giving my hair the beautiful natural curl. Secondly I wash my face and brush my teeth. Singing in the mirror because what's a morning routine without a song am I right? I even got to put on a face mask considering I woke up early. Third of all I use a soothing body butter and then got dressed in my training gear consisting of black leggings and a purple and white long sleeve fitted crop top that matched my white hair and purple eyes. I smile in the mirror.

"Lets do this! Today's the last day of training and we have to get into UA tomorrow! We got this." I encourage myself.

I walk out of the bathroom and by that time my dad is awake and ready to go.

"Good morning dad" I said. "Good morning. Did you get good rest?" he questions with a brow that was now lifted. "As well as I could." I assure him.

"Ok make yourself a smoothie and get an energy boosting breakfast. Today's training will be longer and much harder. I know we usually do training from 5:30am to 5:30 pm but today we will be going until 7pm." I sigh as my dad finishes what he said.

"Fine by me." I said ready to go.

(training ends)

I walk back in the house sweaty exhausted and out of breath. "You did well my child." My dad says while patting my back extra hard. "Thanks" I say through my teeth. I walk to my room and flop straight onto the bed almost instantly passing out.

"So much for dinner. I'll skip for tonight at least." I thought to myself

As I sleep I start to have a nightmare. There were black figures all around me with purple glowing eyes. I try to move away from them but they kept getting closer. Just then they started to touch my neck and wrist. As they touched me I got a sudden rush of power and it hurt but in a way that was like I had to much power. I screamed as loud as I could and before I knew it I was screaming in real life too. I open my eyes and see my dad standing next to me.

" Savanna!? Savanna!? wake up... what's wrong?" He said in a worried tone.

I shot my eyes open and sat up instantly catching my breath. I was shaking. "what is this on my wrist!?" I see a X on both my wrist.

"I....I don't know. You were screaming in here so I came to check on you but you were still sleeping. You were shaking and didn't wake up for 5 mins after I repeatedly called for you." He said with worry in his eyes.

I touch my neck and its sore. I rush to the bathroom to check it out and my neck has an X on it as well but this was a lot bigger and hurt a little more.

"No way this is from the dream." I say with terror in my voice.

My dad walks in the bathroom and lifts my chin. I look him in the eyes scared as he examined the scar on my neck. "its gonna be alright. I'm not sure what happened in that dream of yours but by the looks of it it looks like these scars are from them." He said sure of himself

"What am I going to do dad. The exams are today!" I say in a panic.

He lets go of my chin. "I for one think the look cool so why not just wear them out."

I looked in the mirror and they did. "This will take some getting used to but ill use keep them visible for now." I say

"Ok now hurry and get ready we have to get you to UA on time!" My dad says and gives me a reassuring smile.

And that was all I needed. "I got this! I know I'm still really scared of what these scars mean but I know that now they are apart of me and I'm going to embrace them!" I say gaining back my confident fire inside me. I throw a fist in the air "Lets Do This!"
