I put all of the ships in my list onto a spinner and this was the ship that came up. I have to say, it's the ship that sinks the most for me, because they kissed once! Yay! *sarcasm* I think that Stucky would be more likely to happen. That would be the reason why this one's a break up fic. Not endgame compliant.

Steve knew that going back in time and spending his life with Peggy would be hard, but he didn't expect it to be this hard. Peggy was the type to get jealous about everything. From the moment that Steve dropped back into the past, girls had been swooning over him. Like a gentleman, he always said hello and engaged in conversation with them, but Peggy always thought that he was trying to flirt with them.
One specific time it happened, when they had gotten back to their house, Peggy snapped.
"Steve! You know that those girls would give absolutely anything to have a relationship with you, and you make them feel like it's possible. You flirt with them and talk sweet with them. It just makes them fall for you more. I feel like I can't trust you to be away from me and not end up impregnating some random woman!"
"For gods sake, Peggy! It's called being polite. Plenty of guys out there would pay to dance with you, but I don't worry about any of that. Hell, plenty of guys have told me that they would pay me to dance with you! Even freaking Bucky told me that once. I just wish that you wouldn't think that I would do something like that to you. I waited 80 years to have this, but I guess marriage isn't all it's made up to be."
"80 years? Steve, you're 32! How on Earth could you have waited 80 years to be with me?"
"Ok, I'll tell you my biggest secret then. I know how you die, Peggy. I-I remember getting the text from your niece, Sharon, telling me that you had passed away in your sleep. I remember it like it was yesterday. It destroyed me. It destroyed all of my friends. Just to see how much I cared about you. Tony, he'll be born in a few months. You'll meet him at some point, probably. He'll be a right crazy toddler, but he'll grow up to be one of the greatest men to ever walk the Earth. And Fury. He'll probably be born soon. He was great. He had a tough outside, but you could always tell that he cared about you on the inside. He was my boss, at SHIELD. You helped to found that. They protect the Earth, and run the Avengers. The world's mightiest heroes. It started off with me, Clint Barton, Tony Stark, Natasha Romanoff, Thor Odinson and Bruce Banner. It grew over the years."
"Tony Stark. You mean Stark as in Howard Stark?"
"Howard Stark's kid. Bucky kills Howard in about 20 years."
"Steve, it's obvious that you love them, so go back."
"I don't have enough Pym particles."
"Pym as in Hank Pym? I can get you some of those."
"Peggy, I'll always love you, but I have to go back. I have to go back to my family."
"Steve, I'll always be alive in your heart. Go." she told him. "And I can tell that you love Howard's son."
"I-I. What?"
"You speak about him like he's your everything. The greatest man to walk the Earth? That's what you say about someone that you love."
"I-I-I don't know what to say."
"You don't have to say anything. Go back to the Avengers. Go and hug Bucky for me. Tell him I miss him. Go and say hello to Tony for me. I'll meet him soon, I'm sure. Go and thank Fury. Tell him that I am grateful for what he's doing to protect our country. Go and tell Tony. Tell him you love him."
"I-Peggy, he has a wife, and a kid."
"And maybe you'll be the push he's been looking for all of his life. The push for him to realise that he loves you too, Steve."
