This time she beat Vision out of bed. She awoke with the gray dawn, the remnants of a nightmare lingering in her head. As she stirred, she woke Vision. It was impossible not to in his light stasis.
"Mmmm," he groaned, stretching out and trying to pull her back to him.
She pulled away, "I can't, Vision. I have to leave."
Pushing him away tore at her heartstrings, but he understood, "You have to leave now?" he said in Jake's cute sleepy voice.
She smiled, "Yes."
Vision got up, "Is there anything I can help with?"
"No. Just go back to sleep," Stella tried to get him to lay back down.
"Are you kidding? You're leaving, I want to say goodbye."
Stella sighed, "Fine. I'll get a shower and breakfast first. I want to run through some training before I go. You can follow me if you want."
Vision did. He didn't want to leave her. He didn't know when he'd get to see her again, but he hoped it was soon. He watched her train from the control room. Afterward they held hands to the garage and Vision pulled her into his arms as they stopped by her bike.
"I'm going to miss you so much," Jake sighed.
"I know," She replied with an empty voice.
She didn't want to leave. Vision held her head, looking into her eyes, "You'll come back to see me?"
She gave him a teary smile, "Of course."
He kissed her, "Goodbye, Nashira."
She leaned her head against his chest, "Goodbye, Vision."
They stayed there for a minute before Stella gathered the strength to leave, "Stay safe," Vision said as she pulled away from him.
She smiled, "I'll try."
She wiped tears out of her eyes as she climbed onto her bike, "I love you, Vision."
"I love you too."
She started her bike and Vision watched her pull away. Stella heaved a sigh as she sped down the street. She sped up and kicked on her jets, trying to hurry away before she decided to turn back. There was nothing there for her now, she couldn't go back. All that was there depended on what lay ahead of her.
By the time she reached the city the sun had risen high in the sky. She landed her bike and drove to the outskirts of the city. She parked a little ways from the building and snuck her way in. As she found an entrance, she knew that they probably knew she was there already. She had done her best to evade the surveillance cameras, but Hank was superb with his security.
Which was her next challenge. As soon as Stella walked through the doors, she barely managed to evade the gravity fields that tried to engulf her. She preceded down the halls on guard, even though she had trained for this, she had to be prepared in case something didn't go to plan. Which happened a few times. Stella was glad she had good reflexes, else wise she would have been dead.
Stella knew she had stumbled into one of Hank's mazes after the first few hours. Fear grew inside her as time went on. She had no way of knowing how much time had passed or how much longer she would be stuck in there, but she wanted out now. She tried to remain calm and trust her instinct. By the time Stella finally found her way through, she was exhausted.
There were still no windows, and no way to tell the time. Her cell phone was useless, something was jamming the signal, causing it too completely freak out. So much for having service anywhere. She slumped against the wall and sank to the floor, praying that she wouldn't activate anymore traps. She looked at a security camera as she caught her breath.
