Nashira awoke on the edge of a cliff in the Rocky Mountains. At least she hoped they were the Rocky Mountains. She rushed back from the edge in panic, then sat catching her breath. She tried to think what had happened. -The Avengers- all this time, since she started school, they had been meeting without her, training against her- and they hadn't even bothered to tell her.

Nashira looked out from the cliff. If this was really the Rocky Mountains, she was far away from home. -But did she even have a home anymore? Should she even bother going back? Of course she should. She had a mission, to protect them, and she had to honor that whether she could trust them or not.

Nashira hit the ground with frustration. How could she have been so stupid? She should of never let them see her soft side. She should have never even tried to be a part of them. If there was one thing she was certain of it was that she didn't belong. Not here, not with anyone, not even on this planet or in this universe. She was here for only one purpose, and it was time she focused on that.

Nashira focused on her next objective; getting off the mountain. She thought about just calling her bike, but the cliff wasn't safe for the bike to land, and she'd have to wait a few hours for it, and she didn't feel like spending a few hours on a mountain. Nashira looked down over the cliff. She didn't know if she was physically able to make the descent in her state. Her state?

Nashira was actually feeling pretty good- besides the whole betrayed by her own team, emotional wreck bit. She rolled her shoulders. No pain. She checked the back of her head, but there were no stitches. Nashira smiled. Sometimes being a dragon was awesome.

Nashira used her grappling hook to descend from the cliff. She loved that she always woke up with gear, but that just reminded her of the outfit she had torn through when she had morphed. She had liked that outfit, and it had gone to waste. Nashira had to use her grappling hook multiple times to descend the mountain. Luckily the hook was collapsible, so she could reuse her gun and not be stranded.

Nashira loved her technology. Maybe that's what had drawn her to Tony. She cursed herself. How could she have been so stupid? Nashira thought about how good it had been before this morning. It was still Tuesday right?

Nashira looked at the sun. It was getting close to setting. Her thoughts went back to before this morning. She may of had her love taken from her, and had been hated by a mass of people, and even gotten beat up because of it, but she had connections. She had friends, a place to call home, and people she could trust- or at least she thought she did.

Nashira thought of the previous night, how nice it had been in Tony's arms, how nice it was to just let herself break. She'd never be able to that again. Nashira swallowed the lump in her throat. She didn't know if she'd be able to do it- if she could stay strong that long- but it was part of her mission. She didn't have a choice.

When Nashira finally reached the base of the mountain, the sun had started to set. She only had minutes before darkness hit. She sprinted through the forest, her natural environment. She didn't even mind when the light faded. The moonlight was bright. It filtered through the canopy and guided her through the forest.

Nashira finally burst though the tree line. Out of the blue, popped a residential area. She caught her breath before trekking down the small dirt street. One thing she already missed about the city, where was all the noise and traffic? The one thing New Yorkers complained about the most, was the one thing Nashira ended up missing.

-But what else was she supposed to miss? Her fatherly figure was gone, the brotherly connections she had made were gone, her friends were gone, except for the two she had made at school. Two. That was it. That was all she had. -And she didn't even know if she could trust them. Nashira had navigated her way to the main highway. Her hair bustled as a car rushed by.
