I winced. Everything hurts. Good. That means I'm alive. I slowly open my eyes, blinking at the rough, scalloped ceiling.

Where am I?
I hear a loud bang. I sit up quickly realizing that I'm in some type of cell, and there he is on the other side, smiling at me.

Charlie.

Wait! It's Charlie! I feel this undescribable burst of emotion run down through my body. I jump off the rough bed that I was laying on and made my way to Charlie, who is on the other side of the bars.

I grip the bars that were putting space between us.
"Charlie" I whisper softly, looking at him. He looks at me with a warm smile.

"Hi", he says as he pulls one of my curls softly, looking at it bounce back. My grip tightens on the bars.

I look down at the plate of food in his hand.
"Where am I Charlie?",  I say looking back up at him. He sighs softly.

"You're in the Fire alphas headquarters..." he said softly, as if he were trying to comfort me. I chuckle softly. Only if he knew that I didn't need that look of pity or the comfort he was trying to give me.

No one could comfort me anymore. There was nothing to comfort. Every human aspect of me died with my parents. I was simply a zombie like body with no soul left.

However, the fact that Charlie tried to comfort me made my heart feel warm. He cared... It was hard to find someone that actually cared about me.

"Are they gonna kill me?" I said looking at him tiredly. I yawned softly, resting my head against the bars. Charlies eyes widened, surprised with how casually I talked about death.

"I don't know, King told his father that you almost killed him. He said you were dangerous and he also told his father that you deserved a punishment. A very bad one". Charlie looked softly at me. I just stared at the food in his hand to distract myself from looking at him.

If I'm going to die I might as well eat first.

Charlie softly chuckles at me, noticing the heart eyes I was making with the food.
He slides the plate of food through the bottom of the bars.

"I tell you that you might possibly die and your worried about food, your so cute", he says chuckling quietly. I pick up the plate using my hand to eat the macaroni.

I sit on the floor, eating quietly. I feel Charlie's gentle gaze looking at me.

"You've changed. A lot. I don't know you that well, but I guess I really don't need to, anyone could see it ", Charlie says while observing me.

I remain silent.

I start to sniffle softly. Am I going to cry?
I can't tell.

Soon enough tears start falling down my face.
I looked up at Charlie.

"You- you can't let them kill me Charlie, please, I'm innocent", I say as tears run down my face.

"Hey, hey, hey, I won't. You will not die, and I will not let them kill you, I promise " Charlie says and gets on one knee, reaching into the bars to pet my hair softly.

I look gently into Charlie's eyes.

"Oh my! Did you come to save my mate from her fate, Charlie-boy?" King said, watching us snickering softly.

When did he get here?

My grip tightens on the bars.
I fell myself start to growl.

"Why am I locked up, love?", I say as my eyes grow into an alarming shard of red. I stare at my mate, my face emotionless, but my eyes giving me away.
