Miraculously in Love

Chapter 1

Ladybug's Perspective

"Miraculous Ladybug!"

I watched the ladybugs repair the damage that the latest akumatized villain had caused. I hear my earrings beep and I know it won't be long until I transform back.

I see Chat walk up behind me. "We've done it again, Bugaboo! Saved Paris from another one of Hawk Moth's akumatized villains, no one is a match for the ultra cunning Chat Noir!" He flexes his biceps and twirls his stick in his hand.

"I'm the one who does all the heavy lifting, I capture the akuma AND repair the damage," I say with a sly smirk on my face.

He reaches down to kiss my hand but I quickly pull away.

Chat Noir pouts. "Come on Bugaboo, we're made for each other! You're too blind to see it." He crosses his arms and gives me a pleading look.

"Chat I've told you countless times already, I'm in love with another boy! I've got to go and so do you," I point to his ring and see one of the paw pads on his ring disappear so I pray he'll drop the conversation.

"Fine, maybe some other time M'Lady, miss you already Bugaboo!" he exclaims as he extends his stick and runs away.

I shake my head as I watch him fade into the distance and feel a smile forming on my face but I quickly snap out of it.

I swing my yo-yo and land in between two buildings. I look around to make sure the coast is clear and I finally return to my normal self. "Spots off!" I say, and my red kwami falls in my palms. I reach into my bag and pull out a fresh macaroon for Tikki to munch on so she regains her energy.

"You've saved Paris once again, Marinette! I'm so proud of you," Tikki says in her cute high pitched voice. "I think you should give Chat Noir a chance, Marinette, you know how happy it would make him!"

I sigh and look down at Tikki. "I'm so grateful to have a partner like him, but I don't want to play with his feelings. I don't want to treat him like my second choice, you know I'm in love with Adrien, Tikki." I look away from her as the words come out of my mouth. I'm in love with a boy who will never love me back.

I think about it for a second, then I look back down at her and give her a warm smile. "You know what Tikki, maybe it is time to give Chat a chance! I'll agree to a date ONLY as friends," I say confidently. Tikki spins in the air and kisses my cheek. "I knew you'd come around, Marinette!" she says happily.

"Tikki, Spots on!"

Chat Noir's Perspective

As I get closer to my house, I get a notification from my stick.

Ladybug left me a message? "Hey kitty, meet me at the top of the Eiffel Tower at 7:30 P.M., don't be late!" her sweet voice says. I can't believe it, is Ladybug asking me out on a date? I run all the way to my house and jump through my open window.

"Claws in!" I shout. My black kwami falls on my bed and exclaims in pain.

"I might die if I don't have a piece of my delightful Camembert cheese!" he says, over-dramatically.

"Oh calm down, Plagg," I say laughing as I toss him a piece of cheese. "Did you hear what she said, Plagg? Ladybug asked me out on a date!" I exclaim as I fall onto my bed next to Plagg.

"Puh-lease, all this love talk is grossing me out, I need more Camembert!" He declares as he flies into his smelly cheese drawer. I hug my pillow and replay her message in my head.

Hey kitty, meet me at the top of the Eiffel Tower at 7:30 P.M., don't be late!

I jolt up and look at the time. "6:30, I have an hour to get ready. Fuel up, Plagg, we have a date tonight," I say smiling at him as he swallows another piece of cheese whole.

"Plagg, Claws out!"
