Adrien's Perspective

"My friends need help with their band. They need a keyboard player and I can stand in for them. I'll deal with father when we get home," I say, giving my bodyguard a big smile and pleading eyes.

He looks hesitant at first because he knows the consequences that come with bringing me home late but I reassure him that I will deal with my father myself. He finally grunts in agreement and I smile from ear to ear. We both get in the car and make our way to the dock. When we get there, I get out of the car and watch him drive away to find a parking spot.

Plagg pokes his head out from my pocket. "I still think this is a bad idea, Adrien. What if you hurt Marinette or Ladybug, or both of them! Then neither of them will be in your life. Don't do it, Adrien!"

At this point I'm annoyed with my kwami because he clearly doesn't understand the emotions I feel.

"Knock it off, Plagg. I know what I'm doing," I say harshly. His facial expression changes and I see that he's hurt by my tone, but I ignore him and make my way to the dock. When I get on the boat I see Luka and Marinette laughing while she adjusts his costume. Why are they laughing so much? He can't possibly be THAT funny. My jealousy takes over and I interrupt by walking towards them.

"Hey Marinette!" I say loudly so Luka hears me too.

She stops adjusting his costume and turns around, I can tell she's confused by my presence. "A-Adrien? What are you doing here?"

"Well you mentioned that you needed a keyboard player and you know I play piano, but you walked away before I could say anything," I answer.

Her face lights up, her smile made me feel warm inside. "That's right! I forgot you played piano, you should've told us earlier! You should totally join the band, I'm sure you're a fast learner." I should be happy that she invited me to play with them, but I'm hurt instead. How could she forget that I play piano? Maybe I'm overthinking it. I nod in excitement and Luka leads me to the keyboard on the stage.

I begin to play a few chords but notice that Marinette is still fixing Luka's costume. They keep smiling and laughing, it almost made me feel angry. I walk towards them again to interject. Why do I keep coming in between them? I should be happy for her but I want her to act that way with me, not LUKA.

"So, when are we going to start? What are we playing? Is there any sheet music I should have?" I know I ask too many questions but they don't seem to mind.

Luka smiles at me and answers my questions. "Don't worry about sheet music, we usually freestyle it and go with the flow here. We're actually starting now, how long can you stay?"

"I can stay as long as you need!"

"Great, an hour will be more than enough time. Let's get to it then!" Luka exclaims.

Luka finally leaves Marinette alone and we walk to the stage. Juleka is playing the electric bass, Luka plays guitar, and I see Ivan and Rose come out from behind the stage. I wave at them and they give me a surprised look because they know I can't go out much, but they happily wave back. Ivan sits with his drum set and Rose walks towards center stage since she's the lead singer.

Marinette's Perspective

"Great, an hour will be more than enough time. Let's get started!" Luka exclaims, and Adrien smiles at him. I walk away to and sit near a few boxes as I listen to them rehearse.

I'm happy that Adrien was finally able to get out and help us, but I wasn't thinking about him anymore. Instead I was thinking about Chat. I turn my head to look past the dock and focus on my attention on the buildings. Running along the rooftops with him by my side gave me an adrenaline rush that I've never felt before. My cheeks begin to feel hot and I know I'm blushing, so I focus my attention on the band once again.

They sound better and better each time they come together to rehearse, I appreciate that they chose me to help with their costume designs, too. I listen to them finish their last song and they all laugh and cheer with excitement, so I walk towards them to give my feedback.

"Wow you guys sounded great! Every rehearsal gets better, and you were the perfect choice for the keyboard, Adrien," I say with a smile.

"She's right, I never knew you were so good at playing, you should come around more often," Luka adds.

Adrien blushes again. "Thanks, Marinette. I'd better get going before my father gets angry. See you tomorrow!" He waves and walks away.

"Well, I'd better get going, too. My parents are probably expecting me. I really enjoyed this, let me know if you need anything else. Bye Luka."

"Thanks for all your help, Marinette. Our band would be hopeless without you and your awesome designs. See you later," Luka smiles and waves as I walk out of the dock. As I'm on my way home, Tikki pokes her head out of my purse.

"I can tell you're unsure of your feelings, Marinette. Maybe you really should tell Chat Noir how you feel. It's always good to be honest with someone you can trust," she says happily.

I look down at her and shake my head. "I can't, Tikki. You saw how he acted after I told him who I like, and it would be odd to say that I all of a sudden have feelings for him. He wouldn't be able to trust me anymore."

"Well that doesn't mean you can't spend more time with him, superheroes deserve a day off."

I look at her and think about it for a moment.

"Well, maybe you're right! I'll tell him some day, but for today we can always spend more time together as friends. Tikki, Spots on!"
