Marinette's Perspective

I sigh and lean back in my chair. "I finally finished my homework!" I say to myself. I look outside and see that it's dark out.

"You worked right through the afternoon," Tikki giggles.

I smile at her and nod. I look back outside and notice how beautiful the sky looks tonight. "I've been doing work all afternoon, a bit of fresh air would be nice," I shrug, and Tikki nods in agreement.

I climb onto my bed and wiggle my way through the door leading to my roof, making sure to be quiet so my parents don't get upset. I walk over to the railing and rest my arms on the metal bar while looking up at the beautiful dark sky. The stars twinkled in the night and the moon's soft glow gave Paris a warm light.

"Hi," I hear a familiar voice say behind me.

My entire body freezes in fear. "AHHH!" I scream at the top of my lungs and trip over my feet, falling to the floor.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to startle you... You just looked like you could use some company and-" the familiar voice babbles on.

I look up and my face flushes. "Chat Noir?! What are you doing here?" I ask nervously.

He walks towards me and holds his hand out, so I grab it and try regain my balance. "I just felt a little lonely tonight and I wanted to see you- I mean I was just watching you. Well not watching you, I just happened to drop by!" Chat stammers nervously.

I give him a puzzled look but it quickly turns into a smile because of how much I want him to stay. "This isn't how I expected my night to go but company is always welcome!" I exclaim with a grin.

He blushes and looks away nervously, but quickly turns his head to look back at me. His eyes soften and he gives me a smile, but I can't tell what that mischievous cat is up to. He holds his hand out and softly says, "Do you trust me, Marinette?"

His words come to my surprise, I don't know what to say back but I do know that I trust him, with my life, so I smile at him and take his hand.

Chat Noir's Perspective

"Do you trust me, Marinette?" I ask in a soft voice, hoping she'll take my hand. I had no intention of going anywhere, but I wanted the perfect girl to see our city from the perfect place.

I can see the hesitation in her face, but it slowly turns into a smile and she takes my hand. I pull her in close and she wraps her arms around my neck. That definitely won't be distracting...

"Close your eyes, it's a surprise!" I whisper, so she closes her eyes and laughs a little. I extend my stick and leap through the air, making my way to the Eiffel Tower. I feel her grip tighten around my neck but I don't mind at all, I enjoy having her this close to me.

We make it to the top of the tower and I gently stand her back on her feet. "You can open them now," I say enthusiastically, excited to see her reaction.

Marinette's face lights up, I see a beautiful gleam in her blue eyes and I can't help but smile.

"It's absolutely beautiful, Chat Noir!" she exclaims with joy. So are you...

"You like it?" I ask eagerly.

"I love it! Look at our city, it looks amazing at night," she says, overfilled with joy. She walks over to the railing and looks down. "Wow, we're so high up, I never thought I'd get a view like this from here."

I admire her for a few moments. The soft moonlight on her face, the reflection of the stars in her eyes, and the way her lips form into a beautiful smile every time she looks up at the sky. Marinette truly is the most beautiful girl in the world.
