Chapter 13

A Few Months Later, February

Bria

Bria sat in class as her science teacher taught. Her stomach had been killing her for about an hour. It never felt that way before so she didn’t know what was going on. She laid down on the desk wanting the pain to go away. She figured she’d go to the nurse to figure out what was going on. She raised her hand waiting to be acknowledged by her teacher. 

“Yes Bria?”

“Can I go to the nurse? My stomach hurt.” Bria said.

“You been sleep the whole class now you wanna go to the nurse? No, you’ll be alright.” She said.

“Ms. Johnson, I’m dead serious. I don’t feel good.” Bria said.

Ms. Johnson went back to teaching her lesson. Bri looked over at Brandon and Wayne and they shook their heads. Bri rolled her eyes and picked up her backpack. She stood up to leave the class.

“Bria, sit down.” Ms. Johnson said.

“Look, I told you my stomach hurt so I’m going to the nurse.” Bri snapped walking towards the door. “Fuck you thought?"

“Bria, sit down or I’m calling security.” Ms. Johnson said.

“Do what you gotta do.” Bri said heading towards the door.

“Bria, Bria!” Ms. Johnson yelled as Bri walked out and into the hallway.

Bri went to the nurses office holding her stomach and the nurse wasn’t there. Bri sighed and hit a locker in frustration. She went walking to Beyoncé’s classroom.

“Aye Bria!” she heard.

It was Antonio the security guard. She rolled her eyes knowing Ms. Johnson called security on her and now they think she roaming the halls.

“Tony, I was going to the nurse and she aint there.” Bri said

He looked at her like she was lying and shook his head.

“I’m not lying.” she said.

“Come on, you going to the office.” he said guiding her towards there.

“Man, come on. I been good since I been back from break. My stomach hurting.”

“Bria, we don’t have time for the games so it’s I cuff you or you walk willingly.” he said.

Bri shook her head and walked with him. 

She ended in the office waiting for the principal. She was close to tears with the amount of pain she was feeling in her stomach, she didn’t know what was happening.

“Bria.” she heard and looked up.

Mr. Grier motioned for her to come in his office. Bri stood holding her stomach walking towards him.

“You alright?”

“No, that’s what I been trying to tell everybody?” she said.

“Did you go to the nurse?” he asked as she sat down.

“She wasn’t there.” she said.

Mr. Grier grabbed his phone and made a call. Bri sat there breathing heavily through the pain. She closed her eyes. After a few minutes someone opened the door and Bri still sat with her eyes closed.

“Bria.” she heard and opened her eyes.

Bey was standing there. Her belly was now a full six months strong with her baby girl, they found out the previous mouth.
