Beyoncé

A Week Later

Beyoncé stood in front of her class.

"Alright yall, it's thanksgiving break." Beyoncé said.

"You giving us a packet aren't you." Trey said.

"Oh, come on Mrs. Carter. Don't do this to us." Jason said.

"Okay, okay." She said. "It's one worksheet."

She heard a bunch of smacking teeth and groans.

"Okay, you can have the packet."

"No!" Everyone yelled out.

"We'll just take the worksheet." Tori said.

"That's what I thought." Beyoncé said smiling.

"Mrs. Carter what you cooking for thanksgiving?" Torrez asked.

"Why? You coming over?" Beyoncé asked.

The class laughed.

"But for real you cook?" Jason asked.

"Yes I do cook but thanksgiving my mama does that." She said. "Alright y'all, go to lunch and I'll see you next week."

The class stood up and left to go to lunch. Beyoncé looked and Bri was still in her seat. She looked like she was day dreaming. Beyoncé walked closer to the desk.

"Bri." She said but got no response. "Bria!"

Bri jumped and looked at Beyoncé.

"Oh sorry." She said lowly grabbing her backpack.

"You okay?" Beyoncé asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine." She said.

"Are you sure? You wanna talk about it?" Beyoncé asked.

Bri stood up and thought for a moment and looked at Beyoncé and changed her mind.

"No, I'm fine." Bri said.

"Okay, well have a good break." Beyoncé said.

Bri just walked out. Beyoncé knew she wasn't telling her something.

Bria

Later that night Bri stood on her corner once again. She was finally allowed to get another package and got her job back working with Wayne.

The November air was crisp as 1am approached. Christmas was coming and she needed extra money for Bryan's gifts.

All of a sudden she heard sirens and ran faster than she ever did in her life but not fast enough.

"Ahh." She yelled as she was slammed into a wall by an officer.

"Why you run?" The officer asked.

"Cause you was chasing me." Bri said. "I don't have anything on me."

The officer cuffed her and escorted towards a squad car.

"Oh really? What's this?"

The officer took some caps outta her pocket.

"You planted that shit. That ain't mine." She said.

"Yeah right." He said as he put her in the back of the squad car.

Bri was never so happy that her mother took her brother to DC to talk his grandmother out of money.

"So your mom's not home?" The police officer asked.
