This was not good, to some an egg may be an insignificant object but for our kingdom it means so much more. The egg was a gift from the Kingdom of the Divine, the first Queen gifted a young girl the egg so that she would find a land unmarked by men. The dragon egg had gifted the young girl with the abilities to control natural occurrences such as fire, water, air, earth, lightening, healing, and so much more which was later passed down to her children's children which is now the Illsmyntar royal family. It is said that the young girl was the Queen's daughter and she naturally possessed more than just the natural gifts, there are stories of golden energy used to both heal and kill thousands of men in an instance. Along with the Golden dragon egg the Queen gifted an object for every realm to protect. Anthurius was gifted with a blade that would never dull and gifted the royal family with the heightened abilities of hearing, stealth, strength, anything that would assist the kingdom in successfully becoming a gifted fighter. Darminthos was given staff that possessed the ability of peace and calmness; the kingdom was intended to be the neutral voice when all else seems to be going wrong. When first gifted with the gift there was no real advantages that they received from the Divine, growing angry they became knowledgeable in the darkways of torture, theivery, anything that went against the peaceful gift. Unfortunately Darminthos used their gift for the lesser good, they scavenged other kingdoms and villages that stood in their way of power, even if it was the Divines themselves. The Divines were betrayed and struck down the kingdom which is now a land of thieves, merchants, outcast guard members from any kingdom; the staff hasn't been seen for thousands of years. The last kingdom to receive a gift was Meldomas, they were gifted with the book of healing. The result of this gift was that the royal family had a talent for healing and keeping the peace among their kingdom of fairies, elves, dwarves, and anything that holds magical properties. This book contained any and every way to heal and prevent illnesses and injuries, unfortunately the book was written in an ancient text that only few know how to read so their guard spends more time translating and taking over Darminthos old tasks of peace. The only kingdom that did not receive a gift was Jurdanna, they were a kingdom that was created by the four realms to help create a middle ground and a place for interrogations, extra men and women during wars that affects all kingdoms, and to help restore peace.

"Does father know?" I question.

"Of course, your majesty. He summoned you to the front of the palace to return home with him."

We were in a very bad situation, if we leave now the peace treaty won't be signed but if we don't leave there's a possibility that we can be attacked again. The chances of Anthurius orchestrating the entire attack was a very high possibility seeing as we were attacked when we were out of the kingdom, Anthurians has been yearning for the dragon egg since the gifts were first presented to us, not to mention the talk that the Princes were having when I overheard. What are they trying to hide?

Turning to the door I strode out of the room and down the halls, trying to remember the steps I had taken only hours prior. Once I neared the front entrance I could hear my father's booming voice.

"I should have known you would have done something like this, Axel." My father shouted.

"You people really believe we give that much of a shit when it comes to your precious little egg." King Axel shouted back.

I entered the foyer to see the two valiant Kings almost nose to nose shouting. My father's blue and silver cape, in similar fashion as Gwen's, flared around his body with his movements. The top of the cape being of white fur draped across one shoulder while his left shoulder was covered in the silver armour that was critical for protection.

"King Illyrius!" I yell capturing his attention. My father turns to me, his face was bright red with rage.

"This is no matter for children. Follow Amora outside." My father says sternly, without another word I silently follow his command. I put my head down in shame knowing there's nothing I can do. Once I make my way outside and down the front steps, I see Amora and Gwen in a heated discussion.

"Do we know anything about the theft?" I call out. The discussion abruptly stopped and Amora turned to face me bowing.

"No your Highness. Our main concern is getting you and the King out of the kingdom safely." Her voice stern as she kept her hand wrapped around the hilt of her sword.

"What about the peace treaty?" I once again question.

"The treaty is the least of our worries if Anthurius truly did take the Golden Egg." Scanning the area, Amora's body is tense; prepared for any type of attack that could happen.

I nod my head making my way to Abeloth. I mount the dragon and wait for the next command, scanning the area I see Prince Arthur standing off to the side. Leaning against the side of the castle his body relaxed, knowing no one here would dare to attack him .Raising his head from the presence of being watched, I made eye contact with him and watched as his lips turned upwards into a knowing smirk. Confused, I maintained eye contact, not wanting to back down from this inner battle of dominance. My father stormed out of the castle in a rage, making me break eye contact, stomping straight towards his horse my father mounted him and set off.

I hadn't noticed that the rest of my fathers men had prepared to leave. Whispering the command to fly in the old Illyrian tongue Abeloth took off, the whole time I felt the stare of the Prince still on me. Looking back to once again make eye contact with the Prince, turning forward I was greeted with the starless night making it difficult to see ahead; I trusted Abeloth to take me home, with that I took a deep breath and settled in for the journey.
