Chapter 9

WHERE DO BROKEN HEARTS GO?

JESSICA'S POV

After the last bell, I headed towards my locker, I was not surprised to see Sarah standing there waiting for me so she could lecture me for my harsh behaviour earlier today.

She glared at me when she noticed me coming towards her.I knew I had overreacted a bit ok a lot. It just took me off guard. It has always been Nolan, Sarah and me. Our little world.But I forgot we are growing up. He has changed and its not a rule that bestfriends have to stay together and not make any friends outside the circle.

Now I have learnt my lesson not to give him and others hard time overreacting for small things.I shouldn't force someone who doesn't want to spend time with me .I am just a friend of his and I have no say whatsover. If he wants to hangout with me, he will come around. It also doesn't mean that I should sit and wait for him.He can make friends so can I. If he likes to spend his quality time with Tanya, he is welcomed to do so freely.Who am I to stop him ?

"I know " I sighed.

"And what exactly do you know?" Sarah tapped her foot angrily and folded her arms.

I rolled my eyes,"I know that I overreacted ok! I didn't mean to be a bitch to him and I know you are also angry .I just...he is...AGH! "

She softened and hugged me ,"Ssshh..its fine .I am not angry. Its just that you ran off without a word .I got worried ."

I nodded and pulled away.

"Also I wanted those sandwiches your Mom made." She pouted .

So now we are back to square one.

The pig returns.

I smiled,"Sometimes I think you are my bestfriend only because you want to eat my food."

She rolled her eyes," It comes with its benefits. Like Friends with benefits but obviously not the movie one because I don't swing that way babe.But yeah it definitely includes food " I palm slapped my forehead.She is something else.Just out of this world.Poor Nick now has to handle lot of drama.

"You know sometimes I really wonder how we became bestfriends.How in the world did that actually happen? Like seriously how ? "

" Pfft. You love me so shut up."

We both started giggling when Nick threw his arms around Sarah and me. For someone who is shy,he really has changed overnight. I think Sarah has influenced him in a good way.He seems really happy now.

"Ladies. Whats going on? " He smiled.

"Nothing Nicky de poo.We were discussing what lingerie Sarah should wear tonight for your date."

Immediately Nick removed his arms and looked down.So the shy Nicky is still there.His face turned red just like a tomato.

He shook his head and opened his mouth but closed it again.He just stood there blushing.

I burst out laughing and took the support of my locker to hold me.

Sarah giggled and pinched Nick's cheek."Aww..You are so cute when you are blushing."

"I am not cute " Nick shook his head.

"Don't worry I'll wear something nice." She winked.

Nick just nodded with a big fat grin on his face. " Umm..ok .Should I drop you two home? " 

"Yeah thanks.That would be lovely." She smiled and turned to look at me ,"You are coming to my house."

I replied ," Aye Aye Captain ." I took out my bag from my locker and shut it.
