JUST YOU & ME

Chapter 2

  Beside You  ^-^

 JESSICA'S POV 

After coming home , I quickly showered and changed to my favourite black shorts and a cute pink t-shirt . I had nothing to do so I just switched on T.V. While going through randomn channels, "SING - ED SHEERAN" ringed from my phone. I sighed and saw the caller id -' BESTFRIEND ' and hit the answer button.

"Jess? Nolan here " I face palmed . Thatz my bestfriend for you. Crazy guy but my bestfriend for life. 

"Wow .I couldn't have guessed it because my phone certainly doesn't show caller id." I said sarcasticallly. I know I can't see him but I am definitely sure he might have rolled his eyes now. I know him too well.

"Jess , please now is not the time for your lame sarcastic comments."

"Excuse me. 'Lame ' ? What do you mean lame? FYI they are way better than yours."

"Lol. Whatever floats your boat. Seriously listen to me .Its important. I really need to talk to you . Meet me at our place .Asap. "

I didn't question him any further because he sounded damn serious . "Be there in a bit." I muttered and hung up.We had our own special hangout place. We used to go to the park and sit on our usual bench which had our initials ' J & N ' (when we were seven , we had written those initials declaring to the world that we are bestfriends forever )

By the time I reached there, the park was empty. I started walking towards our bench.I stopped walking when I heard someone singing . I knew that was him. I wondered there is something going on in his mind because he rarely sings. I have to plead him or threaten him to sing . On my birthdays , he is generous to dedicate beautiful songs to me; hearing him sing just makes my day . I just stood there listening to his song. He was singing 'Who you are  - by Ed Sheeran' (originally by Jessie J) It is a wonderful song and I felt so nice hearing him sing such a good song .

After he completed the song , he cleared his throat and said ," How long are you going to stand there. Come sit, the show is over. " 

"How did you know I was standing there. You had your back facing me." I huffed.

" You walk like an elephant . So I could hear you walking from the time you entered from the front gate." He smirked.

I glared at him," Very funny. Now cut the crap and tell me what is bugging you." 

He looked at me and turned his gaze to the empty swing in front. "I just....I just don't know what to do Jess." he looked confused.

"Please Nolan, don't tell me you are pregnant " I managed to look worried but couldn't control my laughter when he smiled at my ridiculous joke. I know that was lame but seeing him sad wasn't good for my health so I just wanted to cheer him up.

He smiled," You my bestfriend are craazzzyy you know that right ! "

I shrugged my shoulders and smiled like a mad person. I don't know what I felt when he looked at me and smiled.I just don't know what that is between us that makes us so special but I really love whatever that is. 

"Yeah! . I know that I am special in brain. And that is the very reason you are my bestfriend. Beacuse no can handle crazy Nolan Smith except me." I grinned.

He just smiled and nodded," Yup. I suppose that is true. No one can handle such a crazy girl like you. I am an awesome bestfriend , you  know."  I stuck my tongue out . " Very mature " he laughed. 

After few minutes of silence, he said,"Dad is forcing me to join a business school after we complete our finals. And I don't want to. I want to..."
