Chapter 6

 Out Of My League....

JESSICA'S POV

Next morning I was waiting for Sarah at the parking lot of our school because she said she had to grab some books from her house. So while waiting , I was listening to The Lazy Song - Bruno Mars. I really like his voice. His songs are just great. Hmm...

Suddenly I saw Nolan's bike or I should say 'wife'. I know...boys n bikes...Its his prized possession .I smiled and started walking towards his bike. Someone sitting behind him, got down; I frowned as to who was riding with him. That someone removed the helmet ; It was a girl .I froze .She had her back facing me so I couldn't see her face.They hugged.I crinkled my nose.When she turned I was stunned to see Tanya giggling and blushing. I was amazed by the scene.

Nolan seemed happy like really happy with her. I was confused when did they meet each other because he didn't come to school when she first entered. Also he wouldn't allow anyone except me to ride in his bike . But it seems I was wrong.

I started walking towards him but someone nudged my shoulder . I turned and looked at my geeky study mate, Nick Grayson. 

"Hey. Nicky Sssp..?? "

"Morning Jessica. " He is always very polite and formal. He is a very intelligent guy and helps me a lot with my studies especially math because maths really isn't my thing.I am sure many surely hate it as much as I do.Maths is damn confusing for me.You can say that Maths and I share a very complicated relationship .Just hate it.. 

"Actually I wanted to tell you something about Sarah." 

I looked back at Nolan's parking space but there was no one. He didn't even meet me. Such a bestfriend huh. 

"Umm....Jessica its fine if you are busy . I will just.. "

I interrupted saying," No sorry .Yeah tell me what about Sarah ? "

"Sarah has asked me to bring a dozen of roses and a card for you ." My jaw dropped.She did what . OMG. What is going on in her mind? Whatz with roses & cards? She is really getting weird day by day. Evil lady . What is she upto now?? Got to talk to her asap..

"Umm... I don't know what to say. " I shrugged.

"Jessica I don't know what she is upto . I just thought I should let you know. She is in a very different mood today. Beware ! " He smiled. 

"Yup. For sure. Anyway thanks Nicky ..." 

He nodded and started walking in the opposite direction . I knew he liked Sarah for God knows how many years but always fears to admit it to her and she on the other hand laughs whenever we talk about Nick . Bimbo.

"Nicky you should tell her . Atleast ask her out for a date maybe . Don't be a chicken. How long are you going to wait? " I huffed.

He turned and smiled. I nodded and headed towards my class . 

Two bestfriends.One just ignored me and is hanging out with the new girl who just became my friend. The other is planning something for me that I ain't aware of ;maybe some terrible prank, I don't know . Wow my life is just so wonderful. Please note the sarcasm. 

When I entered my first class, I frowned seeing my seat was already occupied or I must say I was replaced .Yeah! I know I am overeacting but that hurt a bit. Tanya was sitting on my seat next to Nolan who was whispering something to her,making her laugh . Sarah was sitting next to Tanya and texting someone. When she looked up she waved at me with a big smile on her face.
