This chapter take place in a 24 hour shift so it's a bit longer than usual but I swear.. it's worth reading the whole thing.....but ENJOY😁

I got out of bed got dressed right away, not being able to get my mind off the way Buck looked while he was over top of me. I wanted to see it again but I knew it wasn't going to happen. It was all that was on my mind at the moment but I was sure once I started my shift, 24 hour shift, I would be able to get my thoughts off him. Once I finished getting ready I went out to the kitchen for breakfast before leaving the house. People were still going to need help with the aftermath of the earthquake so chances were, all we'd be doing was responding to calls about gas leaks and broken hydrants.

I walked out meeting the figure of Bobby standing in the kitchen pouring coffee. "Good morning" he said with a smile. "Good morning" I replied. "Have a good time last night?" He asked, for some reason I felt like he was trying to get something out of me. "I mean.. ya? We were cleaning so I don't know how much you can have fun doing that" I answered. "How late were you there till" he retorted, "a lot later than I thought I would be... I think I got home by 1:43 am something like that." I explained why I was there that late by telling him it was messier than we thought it would be. "Oh.. well I'm glad nothing was too bad here then" he said and I made a noise to acknowledge that I agreed.

By midday we had responded to 8 calls about different domestic problems; street lamps, power lines, broken hydrants and such. The we had some time on our hands so Hen, Chimney, Eddie and Buck and I washed the truck. "Hey Hen, how's Denny and Karen doing?Holding up alright?" I inquired. "Ya... they're uh... they're alright. Denny was a little shaken up but I think we all were, they're doing good though. The house held up pretty good... almost no damage." She responded. "That's good.. ya I think Harry and May were pretty surprised by it too but they seem to be holding up alright." "How did Athenas kitchen look? Was she yelling bloody murder?" Hen said through her laughter and Chimney and Eddie joined in. "I didn't actually see the kitchen before it was cleaned up..." I said but didn't give any detail on where I was, leaving them to ask me if they wanted their curiosity to be fixed. "Where were you then?" Asked Eddie "I was at Bucks" I said whilst trying to reach a high point on the truck with a paper towel I had in my hand. "Oh... and.. what did you and Buck do...?" I looked over at Buck and noticed that he seemed a bit uncomfortable, I didn't think much of it because I was slightly uncomfortable as well. "We just cleaned up my apartment." He had his jaw clenched that made him look nervous or upset... maybe mad? I didn't know.

"How long did that take..? Like.. how bad was your apartment knocked up?" Chimney engaged. "It wasn't too bad.. I mean I don't know how it usually looks but it would've only taken like.. what would you say 2 or 3 hours?" Buck nodded after my statement in agreement. "What do you mean "would've" ? I thought that's all you did." Eddie chimed in yet again, then Buck answered his question, "ya well we talked for a while.. plus we-" "we weren't talking for that whole time. You were on top of me for a while." I threw in as a joke but soon realized that the rest were looking at Buck. They looked at him like they were gonna hurt him, especially Hen and Chimney; Eddie just seemed disappointed not mad like they were.

Buck seemed like he wasn't sure what to do, he looked the way little kids do when they've done something wrong and they're about to be punished. There was a uncomfortableness in his eyes but there was a tiny bit of anger that I recognized from his jaw being clenched. "Hey." I said taking the attention away from Buck and making them look my way. "You don't think.. you don't think we had sex do you" I was outraged in a funny kind of way, I thought it hilarious that they would think we slept together. "Well you kinda made it sound like that." Chimney said in the sarcastic tone he so often used. "Well yes, he was on top of me but only because I tried to look in his old yearbook, which he didn't want so we fought over it and we tripped and he fell on top of me. But we  didn't sleep together." 'Not that I wouldn't want to' I felt like saying.
