Why would he do this?

Andre's POV

"Hey babe. How ya doing?" I ask Monique when I see her wide awake beside me.

"I have a feeling."

"Good or bad?"

"Let's get through the day and see."

Are the kids up?" She asks.

"Yeah. They're waiting for you to cook breakfast."

She puts her robe on, leaving the room. "Did you guys like the houses?"

"Yeah! Both of them!"

"I had fun with the elders!"

As Monique is cooking, Diamond hugs her, and then Daniel does, so I join them with the twins.

Monique's POV

My family is so special to me. I wouldn't trade them for anything. Once breakfast is done and served, I shower.

I was kinda hoping that Andrew would join me, but he doesn't. After showering, I get dressed. Andre and I catch each other's eyes and just stare.

"I love you, Monique." He says it so dry. "I'll see you and my children later."

"Okay." Before I can kiss him, he's gone.

The kids and I decide to make arts and crafts today while the twins babble to each other.

"Look mommy!" Diamond drew a dolphin. Daniel's drawing a robot. I draw a flower. We take a break, so I can change the twins. They're so giggly this morning.

My phone rings. I want to ignore the call so bad, but I answer it.

"Monique he's gone." Allison says.

"Gone, Gone?"

"Yes, I just found his body when I walked in. I roll my eyes. Did he really kill himself? "Take him to the hospital."

"Okay. I'll update you." She says and I hang up.

The kids and I finish drawing. Andre comes to the living room, smiling.

"What has you so happy?"

"Seeing ya'll paint and color on everything except paper." I look around and he's right. I then put my head down.

"It's cool. I'll clean it up later."

"Daddy, wanna color?" Diamond asks.
Andre gets in his knees and takes some paper and crayons. "Yes."

"Yay! Daddy's in!"

Daniel is smirking at all of us before he bursts into laughter. Wer all join the laughter.

Daniel's POV

I love my mom and seeing her happy. We've been through a lot together, but hearing the news about my dad, I really don't care. I heard them talking about it.

Just give me my sister, Diamond. My mom, Andre, the twins, and grandparents.

Andre seemed really cool from the jump and I'm happy he found my mom or she found him. "Daniel can we play catch?"

"Yes, Diamond." She jumps up and down cheerfully.

As we're playing, I suddenly feel uncomfortable. "Um, little sister I don't feel comfortable."

"Me either. Let's move it indoors."

"Sorry we couldn't play catch, Diamond."

"If I didn't feel the same, I would've thought you were crazy."
