Maddie Ziegler as Angelica Shelby

"Are you sure I can't go to the fair Aunt Pol? Finn's going." The fifteen-year-old girl stared over pleadingly into her Aunt's eyes; nobody could say no to her innocent, baby blue gaze and she knew it all too well. It was a gift that she always had possessed.

Polly sighed in defeat, knowing that the irritating pestering from her niece would be endless if she objected, so the woman reluctantly chucked a warm coat in her direction, "Go and catch up with them. If they say no, you come straight back here."

Angelica Shelby shrieked excitedly, overjoyed that she had the chance to visit the countryside with her four older brothers. Granted, Finn was only seven minutes older than her, but it still counted, and he made sure to remind her every day. "Thank you so much Aunt Pol, I love you."

Angelica's tuneful voice lingered around the small living room as she quickly ventured out of the door. She knew she needed to be fast if she was going to reach her brothers in time, so her black boots tapped along the cobbles with such speed, it sounded like a stampede.

The citizens of Small Heath graciously moved out of the way as the whirlwind of a teenager scurried by them, and they couldn't help but smile. Angelica was well liked within her town; everybody knew who she was due to her famous surname. Unlike Ada, Angelica loved the popularity, and rather than scaring people, she used it to make as many friends as she could.

Swiping her light brown hair from her face, Angelica couldn't help but frown as she noticed that the Shelby car was no longer in the garage. The boys had already gone, leaving their youngest sibling sighing in disappointment down the street. "No candyfloss for me then."

Despite remembering Polly's orders of returning straight back to the house, Angelica decided to saunter to her best friend Isaiah's house. Since she'd missed out on the fun of the fair, she wasn't going to be stuck indoors all day. God knows what boring work Polly would have her doing in the shop.

The early morning sunlight glinted off the grimy river as the youngest Shelby strolled by the cut. It was more peaceful than the centre of Small Heath, but it was still far from silent. Nonetheless, the familiar flow of the river was enough to distract Angelica from the chaos that was about to erupt on the town.

Inspector Campbell had planned his intervention perfectly, and his plan was in place as soon as the Shelby boys were out of Birmingham. He'd met dangerous men before, but something in the back of his mind warned him that Thomas Shelby was the devil himself. Attacking Small Heath in his presence would have been suicide.

Campbell had perfectly synchronised his Irish men, causing quite the shock to the tired families of the dull town as their doors were smashed down early on a chilly, autumn morning. One thing that the Inspector hadn't planned on was finding the youngest Shelby sister strolling down the street, completely alone and unprotected. He needed leverage over the gang, and this was the best he was going to get.
