Katie Douglas as Pippa Shelby

Pippa was the diamond of the Shelby family. Growing up with four older brothers and a rebellious older sister, she was treated as no less than a princess. That was until the boys had to go to war, and when they returned, their princess was no longer a naïve child in need of protection. She had seen and learnt so much under the guidance of Finn, who boasted and held the fact that he was one year older over her head on so many occasions. Nonetheless, Pippa still brought so much light into their lives with the kindness she showed them, and sometimes they forgot to return it.

"Finn, I don't know if this is a good idea." Pippa warned anxiously as she sped up to match his hurried footsteps. Unusually, he didn't even glance towards his sister, and instead kept his intense stare straight ahead on the cobbled street, "It is the only way I can prove myself to them. You're not going to stop me Pippa."

His stern voice was enough to make Pippa stop in her tracks, staring unbelievably at her brother's back as he stormed away so forcefully. Finn was about to make a huge mistake, all in the name of proving himself to his brothers.

The whole family knew that Arthur, Tommy and John had an unrivalled bond that nobody could intervene with. Neither Michael nor Ada, Finn nor Pippa could get in between that deadly trio, not that they hadn't tried their best. The war had destroyed them, but it had also brought them together more than anyone could ever know.

Whilst the others understood their place, Finn as the remaining Shelby brother wanted in on the so called 'elite' group. Rightfully so, it was his birth right to stand alongside the Shelby brothers, but this certainly was not the right way to go about it, even if he was 18. Pippa knew he was going to get himself killed.

As he rounded the corner out of sight, Pippa sighed in a frustrated manner and immediately took off running in the opposite direction. Finn wouldn't listen to her in this moment of purpose, but he couldn't refuse to obey Tommy, nobody could.

Fortunately, the light to his office was on as she entered the company building, and Lizzie waved her straight through, indicating that Tommy was free to talk. It was rare that she didn't have to wait for him to finish a meeting or a phone call, or stand outside awkwardly as a woman strolled out looking quite content with herself. Those chats often started off a little strained.

Knocking out of courtesy, Pippa waited patiently, but every second that passed was a nail in Finn's coffin. With those welcoming words, she rushed inside, sealing the door noiselessly behind her. Her brother's raised eyebrow showed that he was ready to hear her case, almost like a judge staring down at the courtroom.

However, Thomas Shelby was not only the judge, but also the jury and executioner of Birmingham, if not all of England.

"Tom, Finn has gone to find those Chinese men that messed with the business. He didn't want me to tell you but he's not going to walk out of there alive." Pippa voiced her distress, lingering a slight way beyond his pristine desk, waiting for her older brother to react. And react he did.
