Janxx - We're going down.

Chapter 14

~Jake’s POV~

Jinxx’s glasses were supposed to be coming today and it was also Halloween today. We were decorating for later when all the little kids would be coming round, well I was for that. Jinxx just wanted to help.

Jinxx was actually going out with Andy and Ashley trick or treating, he’d never been before so it was only fair if he got to go one time before he was a bit too old.

I had fake cobwebs decorating the house, along with ghosts and whatever. It looked pretty cool, I was always a big one for Halloween and Jinxx seemed to love the holiday so I was cool with the house staying like this for a couple days… maybe even weeks.

Jinxx was dressing up as a neko Laughing Jack. The neko part was only there because he was after all, a neko so it was easier to make him like a super cute version of the Creepypasta character.

I had all the candy sitting in a bowl by the front door ready for later on when all the little kids would come to the door looking for Candy. I wasn’t gonna ask them for corny jokes or whatever. I didn’t need to know all of them.

“Jake?!” I heard Jinxx call from outside where he was supposed to be putting up the lights.

“Yeah?!” I called back, walking outside to where he was.

“Um, I’m kinda stuck in the lights, could you help me?” Jinxx called down to me.

I looked up at him and he had the purple and orange lights wrapped around his arms, he was sorta stuck to the roof at the moment. I laughed as I walked over to the ladder and climbed up to where he was. I managed to climb onto the roof and then begin to untangle him.

“Maybe I should put the lights up instead?” I asked Jinxx, holding back laughter as he flushed red.

“Y-yeah… I’ll put up the decorations down at ground level that don’t include lights.” Jinxx laughed a little.

“You do that.” I told Jinxx and then kissed his head gently before letting him go back down the ladders.

I got onto the ladders once Jinxx was off of them and finished putting up the lights that Jinxx had gotten tangled in.

I climbed back down once I’d done that and helped Jinxx put up the rest of the other decorations that were left.

“So, you want me to help you get all the make-up on for your costume?” I asked Jinxx.

“Yeah, that’d be good. Thank you, Jake~” Jinxx smiled up at me before leading me back into the house towards the bedroom so we could get his costume out of the closet.

After we got the main part of the costume on we went through to the bathroom to do his make-up. Basically we had to paint his face white, make round his eyes black, give him a cone nose with black and white stripes and then make his lips black. It was pretty cool, I guess.

So I sat Jinxx down on the toilet seat, (he’d closed the lid first.) and then started on his make-up. The white face paint didn’t take long but then I had to get the black make-up around his eyes to look perfect. I was a perfectionist when it came to Halloween and costumes.

Eventually I finished with all the make-up and I had the cone nose stuck over Jinxx’s nose so well that it would take a long time to get it off later this evening when he came back home from trick or treating with Andy and Ash.

I helped Jinxx to get the extra bits and bobs on like his wig and the feathers for his shoulders along with his shoes and then he went downstairs to sit while I did my own make-up slash costume.
