Janxx - We're going down.

Chapter 6

~Jinxx’s POV~

I’d been living here for a couple weeks now and Ella made sure to see that I was punished if I did anything wrong, like showering when I wasn’t supposed to, asking for second helpings, answering the phone, getting up to late. I guess it was rude of me to ask for second helpings…and so was answering the phone.

Right now I was cleaning the windows outside because Ella decided they needed cleaning, so I was standing on a ladder, hoping to god that it wouldn’t fall while I stood there washing the mostly clean window.

“Jinxx!” Ella yelled from the bottom of the ladders.

This startled me and I managed to tip the bucket of water over her head because I had jumped a little.

“You fucking little shit!” she screamed, she was soaked now and her make-up was running down her face.

Oops…I pissed her off, I’m gonna get it later…

“Get down here now!”

I shook my head, gripping the ladder tighter.

“If you don’t come down I’ll make sure that you fall off of the ladder.”

I started to climb higher, aiming to get onto the roof, I felt the ladders start to shake beneath me and I squeaked, climbing faster before jumping onto the roof.

I had accidently pushed the ladders away from the house when I done that and they fell backwards, Ella was still standing underneath them. I simply watched as they fell on top of her…I didn’t give a damn if she was hurt and had broken a bone, she had hurt me enough already.

She screamed then started to wail. I heard the front door slam open.

“Ella?! Are you okay!?” Jake asked, rushing over to her.

“N-no, I think the ladder broke my leg because you’re fucking cat pushed it backwards on top of me!”

Jake looked up, spotting me on the roof, he frowned at me and shook his head clearly annoyed with me. He turned back to Ella and lifted the ladders off of her before helping her up.

“How come you’re soaked?”

“Jinxx poured a bucket of water over my head.” She hissed, glaring up at me.

I watched as Jake set the ladder back up against the house, he told me to come down but I shook my head, to be honest I was scared of heights and I knew I would fall if I tried to climb back down.

“Just leave it up there.”

“He’s not an it, he’s a person and no, I’ll go get him.” Jake started to climb up the ladders, I was scared that he might hit me for hurting Ella but he didn’t he just motioned for me to come over.

“I-I’m sorry…I didn’t mean to…” I said quietly looking at Jake.

“I know you didn’t but come on, we’ve got to go to the hospital now.”

I nodded a little and shuffled over to the edge, Jake told me to get on his back, so I did before he started to climb back down the ladders, I kept my eyes closed the whole way down.

Jake put me down on the ground when we reached the bottom of the ladders so I opened my eyes and looked at Ella who simply gave me a death glare. I looked back down at my lap and waited for Jake to come back out with the keys for his car.

We all piled into the car, me in the front because Ella wanted to lie down in the back, Jake rolled his eyes as she started complaining. I just looked down at my lap feeling sort of bad for hurting her but scared because I knew she was going to hurt me worse for what I had done.

I jumped when I felt someone put their hand on my thigh, it was Jake’s hand. I looked over to him, he smiled at me, “Don’t feel bad for hurting her, she’ll be fine in no time.”

I just smiled back nervously because I didn’t want her to get better if all she would do was beat me, but I guess I might get a while without a beating. That’s really the only good thing about what happened.

I turned away from Jake and looked out of the window, listening to Ella rant and complain about how sore her leg was. It was really annoying but I couldn’t exactly say anything.

We arrived at the hospital after a while and I was given Jake’s credit card and told to go and buy myself some more clothes from the mall that was like 5 minutes away. So now I was walking by myself, hands in my pockets heading to the mall.

The mall was huge and a bit overwhelming but I went in anyways, hoping that no one would try to kidnap me for being a neko. I heard someone call my name as I stepped onto the escalator.

I turned round to find Andy running after me, I smiled a little glad that I wouldn’t have to be alone. “Hey Andy.” I said once he had caught up to me.

“Hey Jinxx!”

“Jake told me to go buy clothes so…”

“Oh, that’s cool mind if I hang around with you?”

I shook my head and stepped off the escalator heading towards a shop called ‘Osiris’. I had been inside it before and I wanted one of the hoodies. I walked inside of the shop and over to the hoodies searching for the hoodie that I had seen online.

I found it after a couple minutes and pulled it off the shelf, it had claws at the hands that you could put your fingers into and the hood had white triangles that stood up, basically it was supposed to look like a dinosaur or monster of some sort.

“Aw that’s cute~” Andy cooed, standing beside me.

“I know~” I smiled at him and hung the hoodie over my arm, before walking over to the rack of jeans.

I picked out two pairs of jeans, a plain black pair, and one with a white leg and black leg and then a pair of black spandex pants that I found. I then went and chose some long sleeved shirts that I liked before heading over to the counter.

The girl scanned all the clothes and then I paid using the credit-card but not before worrying about how much it cost. It cost quite a lot…I hope Jake won’t get mad at me for spending so much…

Andy led me out of ‘Osiris’ and to a shoe shop so I could get some new shoes as well. That took a while but he bought me 2 pairs of shoes, a pair of black boots and some leather converse.

 All that was left for me to buy was some toiletries and some underwear… Andy helped me choose what he called ‘cute boxer shorts’. I don’t know, they were small-ish and looked tight but whatever, it doesn’t matter.

He also helped me choose make-up, hairspray and all that shit as well as toiletries like a toothbrush and stuff. Which he paid for as well even though I told him not to.

I went to a shop that had music and posters in it while Andy went to go grab something quickly. I picked out a couple albums, one that was by Pierce The Veil called Collide With The Sky, and the other album was ‘May Death Never Stop You’ by My Chemical Romance.

Andy came back after a while with a present for me, he had bought me an iPhone so I could text him and stuff which I thought was sweet. He received multiple hugs, smiles and a ton of ‘thank you’s’

Jake phoned Andy after a while telling Andy that I had to go home now, apparently Andy had texted Jake at some  point and told him that he had me with him in the mall.

So sadly Andy took me home to Ella and Jake were, along with my bags of shopping…I spent so much even though Andy had paid for some stuff I still felt like I had bought too much. Ella’ll probably be mad at me for spending so much but it’s not like I ask for money all the time so…
