"Slay your own Dragons, princess."
Unknown
Cynthia and Nox slipt back into her dorm room, looking at the number of text's her friend had sent her. Then, when she saw that Musa was making herself a drink, she relaxed.
"I'm so sorry for not seeing your texts," Cynthia apologised profusely, "My phone was on silent, and I was asleep."
"It's fine," Musa assured her.
"Do you know where Stella is?" Cynthia asked. She wanted to have a word with Stella.
At that moment, Stella appeared from her room, "Where's Bloom?" She demanded.
"Well, she had a rough night. Thanks to you," Musa snapped, "I didn't think those things were real, but we all saw. It was creepy as hell."
"Sadly, they are all too real," Cynthia muttered quietly. Stella put out a hand and rubbed her arm gently, and Nox nuzzled her leg. Musa could feel that from their emotions, Cynthia had personal experience.
"What about my ring?" Stella snapped. Musa could tell that a small part of the question was to change the conversation.
That burned," Bloom told them as she came out of her room, "burned thing took it."
"What?" Stella shouted. Her mom was going to kill her.
"Calm down, Princess," Musa mocked.
Don't tell me to calm down," Stell snapped, "and don't use my title as an insult."
"Are you actually a princess?" Bloom asked, her voice filled with wonder.
"Yes, I am, actually. My mum is the queen, and the ring you lost is one of the crown jewels of Solaria," Stella started to rant, "that might not mean much to a First Worlder. Feel free to ask your suite-mate how big of a screw-up that is."
"Almost as big as giving it to her in the first place," Cynthia told Stell warningly.
"Dowling has the creature locked up," Musa added, "which you would know if you were here last night when she gave us an earful."
"if people knew there was a Burned One even in the First World temporarily, disaster," Cynthia added contemplatively.
"I didn't tell her that I lost the ring," Bloom said she was feeling so bad and wanted to make it better, "and I'm sure if we do, then..."
"We will do no such thing. I will figure it out after class, but for now, no one says anything to anyone." Stella instructed harshly, "and can someone make sure that Terra knows that? She can never keep her mouth shut."
"Bit unfair, Stell," Cynthia reprimanded as Stella pushed her door open.
"Got it!" As she tried to pull her overalls on, Terra said, "thank you, though, Cynthia."
