"Hope is the one thing that can help us get through the darkest of times."

This was a bad idea. That's all Cynthia could think to say about this.
Cynthia sat on a rock, leaning against Stella as she waited for Bloom to lose her temper. Something that would be an appropriate response, all things considered.
"Your emotions are a tool. Nothing more, nothing less." Rosalind lectures. "They're a power source. You've been told to control them. That isn't always the best option," Rosalind tells them. Watching on emotionlessly as Bloom gets zapped over and over again. "In combat, you'll need to rely on instinct."
Cynthia couldn't entirely work out what Rosalind was trying to teach them. The crazy headmistress had Bloom stand on one side of the fairy circle as Marco stood on the other side. Whenever Bloom summoned her magic, Marco would throw a bolt of electricity at it. Something that seemed unnecessarily cruel if you were to ask Cynthia. But as Rosalind lectured them, Cynthia could see what she was trying to do. And it looked like it may work.
"You'll need to let go." Rosalind reminded them. Fed up of Bloom's failings.
Eventually, Bloom does explode. Fire coming from both her hands as she marched forward.
Rosalind just looks proud. Raising her chin. "That's when you find true power."
Bloom pauses. Suddenly, she realises what has happened and what she is doing. The fire disappears as Bloom turns on her heel. Heading back to the crowd and her friend. As she approaches them, Cyanthing reaches out a calm hand. Squizing Bloom's hands as she passes. Assuring her that all was okay.
Turning back to Rosalind, Cynthia wonders how they will get through the rest of their education without something going wrong.

With Nox sprawled across the bottom of the bed, taking up far more room than was fair. Cynthia and Sky were wrapped in each other's arms. No way of knowing where one ended and the other began.
But both of them needed this. Both needed to be held as Both needed time to understand and compartmentalise what had happened.
Cynthia had transformed and gone full fairy. Sky had found out that his pseudo-father had killed his real father. That being said, the real father was actually a mass murderer and an asshole. Then they found out that his dad wasn't actually dead and said his pseudo-father was going to jail. A crazy lady was taking over their school, and the real headmistress, one of Cynthia's guardians, had gone missing.
Oh, and Sky was injured because his father had decided that fighting to first blood was a good idea.
They needed this. Sadly, the rest of Cynthia's suit didn't seem to know this as they barged into her room.
