Bloom was lost. She was supposed to be meeting a girl called Cynthia. The problem was that she didn't know where to meet Cynthia or how she looked. So Bloom set of walking.

"Wow. You are so lost. I'm impressed with your confidence in the face of complete ignorance." An arrogant blond-haired boy told Bloom as he started walking next to her. "The issue is, you're overcommitted. I mean, you're essentially running. And now that I'm here, you can't give me the satisfaction of turning around..."

"I don't need help, but thanks." Bloom interrupted him as he carried on talking.

"I don't remember offering it. So presumptuous," Blondie laughed, seeming to find the situation amusing, "you must be a fairy."

"I am a fairy," Bloom told him, her voice filled with wonder, "sorry, that's just something I never thought I would say."

"It's an odd thing, considering you're standing in a courtyard of a college for fairies." The man said, seeming to find that it was getting weirder and more amusing.

"We don't have a lot of those where I'm from," Bloom admitted.

"And what realm are you from?" Blondie asked. He had not gotten what was going on yet.

"California," Bloom answered.

"Oh, you're not from the Otherworld?" It seemed to be dawning on him that she had no clue what was going on. He had been a bit rude.

"I am." She confirmed, "if you want your mind blown, three months ago, I didn't even know the Otherworld existed.

"Um..." he said, preparing to backtrack, "if you are lost, which I'm not saying you are, and you need help, which I'm not saying I'm offering..."

He was interrupted before he could finish and be helpful by a black dog running into him. The dog was the size and shape of a whippet but was pitch black and seemed to have some glowing stars scattered over its body. The dog jumped up on the guy. He then bent down and was giving the dog lots of love when Bloom heard a girls voice.

"Nox!" A feminine voice called, "when I told you to find Sky, I didn't mean try to bowl him over. I know you love him, but we don't want to bruise his ego," The voice joked.

Bloom turned round to see a beautiful girl standing behind her. The girl was wearing Black combat boots, black jeans and a camouflage jacket.

Sky just laughed, "You know I love him, Cynth, almost as much as I love you."

That was all it took, suddenly the girl was grabbing the guy in a hug, he lent down to kiss her. Bloom would have left it if she hadn't been pretty sure this was the girl she was looking for. The girl suddenly realised that Bloom was still standing there.
