it was summer, and normally kids would be happy about it. Well not Rain she hated summer more than anything. She had such a long history with self harming,so she was ridden with scares. She hated how she looked in certain shorts and tank tops. She wasn't the thinnest of girls and that's okay, but she think she needs to be skinny to look pretty.
Her best friend Charli who on occasion was a summer fling had similar issues,and that's what makes them such good friends. They'd talk about their issues together and help each other. Sometimes they'd go to therapy together. Today wasn't a therapy day so they were both chilling at Charlis house in california.
"hey charls wanna go in the pool with Noah and Dixie?" Rain asked.
"yeah sure" Charli said a little nervous. Rain changed into a light purple swim suit that went perfect with her dark complexion. Charli picked out a light blue one. She looked in the mirror and hated how she looked Rain came up behind her and hugged her.
"i know we both don't like how we look but damn we are stunning" Rain whispered into Charlis ear making her giggle.
"yeah i know." Charli said rubbing her arms up and down.
"come on let's go before mr. beefy bitch noah gets there" Rain said grabbing Charlis hand taking her down to the pool.
They got in before Dixie and Noah and they laughed at them for being slow. Even though they weren't confident in their bodies yet,they loved being confident when they were together.
