Charli was out for a bike ride at 12 am on a nice summer night. It was one the calmer summers in Connecticut. She wasn't tired and her sister Dixie was at a friends house. She rode her bike to a park and sat on the swings because who doesn't love the swings.
She was swinging and plying music on her speaker when someone else pulled up but in a car..
a group of kids around Charlis age got out. A few went down by the lake but a girl came up to the park. She saw Charli sitting on the swing and went to sit next to her.
"hey i'm Jack" the girl said.
"charli" she said and shook her hand. The girl looked tall had curly hair and light skin but looked like she could be mixed.
"so why are you here?" Charli asked the girl because she wasn't with her friends.
"oh i don't like the water and i don't want to be wet" She said. Charli laughed at the joke which she new it wasn't on purpose.
"nice" she said and continued to swing.
"and why are you here?" Jack asked.
"oh because my sister is at a friends house and i couldn't sleep" Charli said and stopped swinging.
"fun. you know we could do this again but during the day and just the two of us" Jack said and looked Charli in the eye.
"uhm yeah i'd like that" Charli blushed.
"yo jack stop flirting with that girl and get your ass down here or bring her i don't care!" he friend mike yelled. She gave him the finger and looked back at Charli who was blushing.
"shut up and come on" Jack said pulling her down to her friends enjoying the midnight summer.
