Training

Skylar's POV

I woke up early the today around 5 in the morning I couldn't sleep so I thought why not go and get something to eat. I started walking out the door but I made sure to get dressed first I put on my training outfit which was an all black and it was tight but very easy to move in I think it was made using rubber and possibly some kind of felt.

When I went into the kitchen to grab food I heard someone behind me so I turned around only to be met with Annie she just stood in the doorway smiling at me. I smiled back.

"Why are you up so early?" Annie asked.

"I could ask you the same." I replied

And we just both started laughing because I was trying to pull a straight face. But we both know that's impossible for me to do.

The Finnick walked in.

"What you guys up to?" He asked

"I'm hungry." I said shrugging my shoulders.

Finnick chuckled "of course you are."

I just grabbed an apple threw it in the air and caught it then went to the sofa and turned on the Tv.

Finnick and Annie came and sat down as well. I turned to them and asked "what time are we practicing?"

To which Annie replied "in about an hour so Adam needs to get up and eat."

As if on cue Adam walked in only to see us all on the sofa talking. 

"What are you guys talking about?" Adam asked. 

"Training." I replied in a bored tone.

"Oh ye when is that?" Adam asked.

"Around an hour go get dressed." Finnick replied in a kind tone.

That's when I realised what Adam was wearing he seemed to only be wearing some jogging bottoms and no top. I started taking in his appearance he had a lightly toned body his hair was a light shade of brown and he had dark green eyes. Then he left to get changed when he came he was wearing something similar to me except it fit his body really well.

*time skip 1 hour*

"Ok do the move we worked on at home." Finnick told me. I was worried about doing this move because the last time I tried it I nearly broke his jaw. The move is when on the floor it's called the corkscrew you are meant to wrap your hand around their ankle spin around and then lift your leg up and push on their chest pull their ankle and knock them down. 

I tried it and this time I did it without actually injuring him which actually surprised me. He clap tried to get up but I just pinned him down again. And I stood there laughing at how helpless he looked for the first time in his life. After a while he started to pout which just made me smirk. Annie came over smirking at his pout and told me to let him up. Which made it my turn to pout. But I eventually took my foot from his chest. 

Once he got up we went to the archery sections. I obviously got all bullseyes and he only got 2 out of 5 but then I went again and got all bullseyes again which really annoyed Finnick. He never was any good at archery or throwing anything unless it was a trident and he barely throws that.

After about another 10 minutes we moved over to the throwing knives part. I one again got all targets right in the head or where their heart was. Finnick didn't even want to try because he knew how embarrassed he would be missing them all. So I suggested the idea of going to the tridents which of course made Finnick face light up with glee.

Once over at the trident stand I grabbed one and threw it as far as I could. Then Finnick threw one and it got a little further than mine which made him very excited because h found something he can beat me at. But then we did fighting with it and I ended up pinning him to the floor with the trident at his neck.

After a few for try's of me pinning Finnick to the ground me and Adam swapped so I worked with Annie for a while we worked on things like how to build a shelter or find some shelter. Also how to find or cleanse water. Also how to camouflage and climb trees but I could already climb trees because it was my favourite thing to do when I have nothing else to do.

After that we had finished our training so we went back to the room for lunch. For lunch I had a ham and cheese baguette with some salad and some water. The others had something a little more complex but I can't remember what it was. 

Now I am reading a book I think it's called Harry Potter and it's really good so far. That was until my stupid brother ruined the ending for me so I just threw the book at him and it him him right where I wanted it to. This made him retreat to the sofa. I walked in to see a very in pain looking Finnick and a confused Annie. 

"He ruined the ending" I said in an annoyed tone.

"Oh I get it now he did the same to me except I threw the book at his head." She replied.

"Ye I don't know which hurt more actually." Finnick said which caused me and Annie to burst out laughing. 

"Not funny" he said in a very annoyed tone.I was still laughing. That was before he pulled me on the floor into a wrestling match type thing. Which of course he won with my arm pinned behind my back but I did get a few good punches in. But then again they will leave behind a mark or 4 on his face.
