Aftermath

~Narrators pov~

It had been a year since the Agni Kai. Zuko had decided to put Azula in this 'nuthouse' as she had affectionately nicknamed it. The institution was supposed to improve her mental well-being and ensure the best care on her 'road to recovery'. That was laughable.

Apparantley taking away every last scrap of her dignity, locking her up where no one could see and 'analysing' her every week (just asking her endless, pointless questions) classed as 'improving her wellbeing'.

She sat in her 'secure room' (basically a prison cell) counting the raindrops as they fell on the tiny window of her room. She couldn't even move properly, chains binding her to her bed.

This was pointless. Humiliating. She needed to do something. Escape? Maybe. Although, it would take a lot of careful planning and would need to be executed perfectly in order to get past all the security.

She sat there thinking about digging tunels and attacking guards until something interrupted her.

From down the hall came a loud scream, followed by several fast-paced footsteps.

Suddenly a girl in chains and several guards came past her door.

"LET ME GO LET ME GO LET ME GO!" the girl screamed. Azula let out a small laugh, she'd tried that before. Clearly, it didn't work.

"I need to see her! I know she's here, I know she is! Where's Azula!".

~Azula's pov~

As you can imagine, that peaked my interest. This girl, she seamed... familiar. I hadn't meat her before, but somehow I knew her.

"Where is she! Where is she Where is she where-" she froze as she saw me.

"Azula!" she called out. Then her hands started heating up, they became so hot they burst put into blue flames like mine, melting her handcuffs.

Then she ran at the door, sending walls of fire at it until it came crashing down.

She ran inside and fell on her knees in front of me in exhaustion. Then she looked up at me with kind, restless eyes.

"Azula. You don't know me, but my names Y/N".

But before I could even begin to respond, guards came in and dragged her away.
