~Y/N's pov~

I'd found her, finally. For a long time I'd been seeing this girl in my head. When I shut my eyes all I could see was her face. I still can.

I don't know why, at first I didn't even know who she was, little did I know she was the Princess!

That was, until one day two years ago when she and her friends passed through my town in search of now Firelord Zuko and his Uncle.

I saw her and then I realised. She was the girl in my head. I was so close to her- she was standing feet away but she didn't see me. Before I got the chance to speak to her she moved on to the next town and I didn't see her again.

I tried to forget her but I couldn't. Always in the back of my mind, always there...

I told my best friend about it, but she thought I was crazy. And, overtime so did everyone. My parents, my family, my friends, the entire town thought I was completely mad. Perhaps I was.

So then I got carted of to the 'Institution' so I could 'get the best help'.

They took me away like some kind of prisoner, though I did nothing wrong. But while I was being transported I heard a guard and a doctor discussing a patient.

"She's dangerous. She's been put in the highest security room now" the doctor said.

"I still can't believe we have to look after the Princess of the fire nation, I mean, it's crazy! Still, I suppose it's good recognition for us" the guard replied.

My eyes widened. I couldn't believe it! Azula was there! Finally, I might get a chance at seeing her! Then maybe she wouldn't be in my head 24/7.

Little did I know I would be seeing her even more...

So there I was, kneeling in front of her. I told her my name, but then the guards grabbed me and took me away. I kicked and screamed but I was all out of energy.

They put me back in handcuffs and started dragging me down the corridor. They walked me away from Azula's room, then started whispering to each other.

"We're full"

"Not one single room left?"

"There's one, but it's minimum security. She could practically walk out of there"

"Then that means..."

"Yes. For now, at least".

Then they turned to me, unaware I heard everything they just said.

"You'll be happy to know, miss L/N you'll be getting a roommate".

Did they mean... Did they mean I would be sharing with Azula?

Before I even properly processed what was happening, they were dragging me back down the hallway and through the space where the melted door once stood.

It became evident that nobody could get out anyway, this was the top security room so of course you had to stay chained to your bed.

Some guards wheeled in a new bed and strapped me down to it. Then they left, and it was just me and Azula.

~Azula's pov~

They seem to have had a change of heart, and brought Y/N back into my room.

She was tied her down like me and then the guards just left.

Y/N started laughing for no reason. Maybe she really was crazy?

"What.... what are you doing?" I asked.

"Sorry, it's just I've been looking for you for so long, and now
I'm sharing a room with you!"

"Why were you looking for me?" I enquired.

~Y/N's pov~

I told her about everything, and for a few seconds she was silent, until she almost whispered

"Me too".

"I've seen you before," she continued, "not quite as much as you've described seeing me. But, I know your face, it's familiar somehow..."

"That's wierd" I replied. "So how did you end up in here?"

"Ha! You want the whole story?"

"Well," I said, "it's not like we have much else to do".

Time Skip☆

She told me everything that had happened to her.

"Wow..." was all I could say, trying to take it all in.

"I like you. You're not like other people" she leaned over as much as she was able to.

"Well," I said, "neither are you Princess.

"Do you want to be..."

"Friends?" I finished.

"Yes. I think, I think I'd like that" said Azula.

Woah that was a long chapter 😳 Welllll I hope it made sense and you enjoyed! I've never got a vote before so it would be greatly appreciated 🥰 ok see you soon! :)
