Hey.... So haven't written anything for this book for a very long time. The other day I wrote what I hope to be my final version of the plot. No promises this will be what gets written or it will ever be written.

So if you want to wait it out and read something that looks like a story, don't read the rest of this. But, I know how infuriating it is to like a story but not have the ending. So here's a conclusion.

------- spoiler warning --------

The 3 go to Margo's party. Ash gets anxious and gets drunk to avoid it and tries to have sex with Charlie but he stops it and brings Ash home. But Ash had been kissing charlie all night so people remembered it and posted it. After that weekend, both ash and Charlie go back to school and people laugh at them and say homophobic shit. Ash has a panic attack and leaves without telling Charlie or Caroline. Charlie panics after school when he doesn't see Ash's car and he doesn't pick us his calls. He goes to leave but gets held back by his guidance counselor who wants to talk about university applications. Eventually he gets to Ash and Ash is doing better but asleep with a post it note next to him that says he took his meds and just wanted to rest. Charlie lays in bed with him and starts googling ways to help. When Ash wakes up, Charlie talks to him about stays at mental hospitals and rehab and tells Ash about his past with hard drugs like morphine and Codeine and the abuse he'd put his body through.( Which is why there's the passage where ash's therapist asks him if he's clean. ) Ash agrees that he should look into programs at mental hospitals to see if any would suit him. A few weeks later, he calls one and with the recommendation letter from his therapist who agreed it was a good idea, he goes there. He'd be away from Charlie for a few months but Charlie visits and does his best to stay supportive.

The day Ash leaves for the hospital, when charlie gets back to his apartment, Caroline is there and crying. Charlie helps her calm down and brings her inside. She tells him she's pregnant and doesn't know what to do between and abortion or having the kid and doesn't know if she should tell Bradley or not and doesn't know how it even happened because she's on birth control (she was taking them wrong).

She stays at Charlie's for the night and goes back home the next day after his advice.

A week later, charlie and Caroline visit Ash. He looks worse and doesn't feel better but says that it would get worse before it gets better. Caroline tells him she's pregnant and decides on the spot that she wants to keep it. Ash is happy for her and tells her that he'll help with the baby as much as he can.

That night, Charlie makes up his mind about his future and decides to start looking at medical schools instead of art schools like he had initially planned.

Caroline tells Bradley who doesn't take it well and asks her to have an abortion or he'll break up with her. So she breaks up with him and told him she would cut all ties the baby had with him before the fetus was even born. She's sad and doesn't know if she made the right choice. Then she goes home and tells her mother who kicks her out for being irresponsible and having sex before marriage (her mother is hardcore religious). She goes to Charlie's after packing a bag and breaks down. The two don't go to school for a few days and just hang out. Charlie tells her she'll be a great mother and that when his mother had him, she was only 19. Caroline was turning 18 in February.

They go see Ash that Friday and Ash asks her to move in with him once he's released. She agrees. He gets released a week before Christmas. Charlie's aunt comes back and the have a massive Christmas dinner at Ash's house as a welcome back to him and celebrating everything else. Ash is doing a lot better after the stay at the hospital too and goes back to his old therapists replacement who is quite good thankfully.

After a few months, it's graduation and the day before, Caroline's water breaks. 2 months early. She goes to the hospital with Ash and Charlie and Charlie films the birth just like his father had done for him. Caroline has a boy she names Noah and introduces ash and Charlie to him as his father's.

The 3 wanted to skip graduation to stay with the baby but Caroline was named valedictorian. She gives her speech to Ash to read for her. They get there and Ash wants charlie to do it but charlie believes in ash and tells him to go ahead and if he needs to stop he always can and it wouldn't bother anyone, might wake them up. Ash manages to do it after breathing and coping mechanism he was taught at the hospital. Charlie films it with a huge smile on his face. Once Ash gets off the stage and everyone got their diplomas, Charlie tells Ash he got accepted into their cities med school. They go out on a date at the hospitals food court as a celebration before spending the night at the hospital and going home the next day. The baby is premature but healthy and was ready.

Skip to 2 years later. Noah is running around in the big ass mansion. Ash's father dies and ash inherited everything. Ash takes charlie out on a date after he comes back from his day at school. Ash brings him to the restaurant and proposes to him. Charlie says yes and Bernie smiles at them and said he knows his father would've been proud. They get married in the fall.

Skip a few years and Caroline has a husband and is pregnant with twins. Her husband wants to move to L.A. so she goes with him and Noah is heartbroken but is okay and they call all the time. But after a month, Charlie gets a call that Kyle was in an accident and didn't make it. Kyle had one daughter and Charlie was her god father. Charlie leaves and goes to San Francisco for a little bit to get her and grieve with her before bringing her back to their city and ash and him adopt her fully and even though he lost his best friend and everyone else in his life, he was okay.

Ash dies of blood cancer when he's 52 just like his father had. Charlie is heartbroken but his daughter helps him and he spends his days working at the hospital, beating himself up for not having been able to save anyone in his life that he loved.

He comes down with Parkinson and is forced into retirement and into a group home because he can't take care of himself. He dies 10 years later. Healthier but just as sad and heartbroken. He had wanted to die of grief but he hadn't and it pained him he couldn't die. But once he feels himself going, he's satisfied he'll be reunited with the people he loves even if he's leaving his daughter and grand children behind.
