Saying Tuesday was a hard day for us, would be an understatement.
I woke up Ash around 10am. He practically refused to get up and out of bed so I caried him to his bathroom.
I had already showered before waking him up and while he showered I made us rice and egg with the leftovers stir fry from last night.
Once I had finished cooking, I went up to his room. I waited for him to finish showering so I could wrap his arms again before he got dressed.
I sat on the bed waiting and heard something fall and immediately panicked.
"Charlie" I heard a weak voice call.
I ran to the bathroom and opened the door to find the shower glass door with blood on it. I panicked and opened the door and turned the water off.
Ash was against the tile with blood flowing out rapidly from his arms.
I grabbed some towels and wrapped his arms in them and went back out to the bedroom and laid a few towels of the bed.
I picked him up off the floor and he passed out. Blood was soaking through the towels and I panicked even more.
I laid him down on the towels and went to his closet and got out some clothes and put his underwear and sweatpants on, not bothering with a shirt.
I ran down to the second floor and looked for his aunt but couldn't find her. So I did the last thing I could think of.
Since I couldn't drive and Ash needed to go to the hospital I made the fatal decision of calling my aunt.
Thinking back, an ambulance would've done the job but I just couldn't.
She picked up my call with a sleep filled voice. It was barely 10:30am so I knew I would be waking her up.
"Hey, can you drive me to the hospital. I'll send you the address, just wait at the gate and I'll wait for you. Come quickly okay bye" I said while still running around his house.
I sent my aunt the location quickly and went to go check on Ash. I got bandages from the bathroom and carefully unwrapped a blood soaked towel from his left arm.
I saw soap bubbles in his wounds and cringed at the look. I places the cotton pads and wrapped his arm tightly, trying to stop blood circulation at the top. I did the same on his right arm before picking him up.
He was still passed out and wasn't waking up but I kept checking and his pulse was still steady.
I wrapped his arms around my neck and held his back with one arm and sat him on my hip so I could still move around a bit.
I grabbed the first bag I found and put in a water bottle, a towel and our phones.
I slung the bag on my shower and grabbed a hoodie that was on his floor.
I walked down the stairs carefully and grabbed a blanket from his couch. I draped the blanket over him since he wasn't wearing a shirt.
I slid on my vans and grabbed his keys and our badges. I locked his door and walked down the hill.
I got to the bottom by the security gate and thankfully the worker didn't notice me since he seemed to be in a pretty intense phone call.
My aunt was there a few minutes later and I climbed into the back of her car.
"What the fuck" she just said.
"I'll explain once we're at the ER but please just go. He passed out and his pulse is fine but he's not waking up" I said as I put our seatbelts on.
