A new beginning

2 weeks pass

I woke up feeling dizzy. These past couple of weeks have been nothing but a mess. Today feels like it's going to be a mess too. I can already feel it.
Im gonna visit my new college for the first time. I figured after what happened it would feel nice to change something. It would maybe make me happy. Maybe..

I get ready and head down the stairs to make breakfast. I tried to look extra good since it's my first day. I'm not really stressing. It doesn't matter if I make new friends or not. Don't really need new ones anyway, I just don't want today to go bad. It's fine.. it really is.

As I'm thinking, I didn't realize I'm gonna be almost late. Ugh, you really are late for everything, aren't you..

Phew, still 10 min left until class starts. I guess I just have to wait. I start to look around the school. It's large, with a lot of students. Everyone seems busy with their own stuff, no one is talking to each other. "Oh wow, I like quietness, but not like this..." I mumble to myself.
I start to walk to class.

Time skip

Im laying at the couch all by myself while scrolling on my phone. I put my phone away, while looking at the roof. I'm anxious.. I'm financially struggling at the moment. Keeping my parents apartment has been a pain in the ass. I'm struggling to pay rent. After they left, it's been hard to live alone. I wish I had siblings, I wouldn't have felt so lonely then.
I can't just move out either. I have to find a part time job.

I started to look for a job I could take after school. That way I could pay, and have some savings for myself.

"Oh.." I think I found one. It's a little shop right across the street. They are looking for someone to work a couple of hours every other day, it's perfect..

Time skip

I'm standing outside the shop. It's a small shop with little to no costumers at all. Looks like they sell normal groceries. Nothing too special. An middle aged man comes out greeting me with a smile.

"You must be y/n?"
"Yes, and your the owner I guess?"
"Yes, it's nice to meet you, follow me" He says smiling.

The job interview went so well. I got the job.
"I guess we'll see you tomorrow?"
"Yes, Of course!" I was so satisfied. Finally something is going great. My life will be easier now.

"Great! Oh, and by the way, you will be working with someone else by your side, my son actually, you guys will be having the same shifts."
"I'm looking forward to it!" I say as I leave the store.

I'm exited.
