Stiles never got to have the moment before she kissed him. She stole it, and threw it towards the sinking sun. A moment later, it was like it had never existed at all.

Her first kiss with Stiles Stilinski was a rushed snap decision. She grabbed his tie with the hand he wasn't holding, yanked him down to her level and crushed her lips against his before she could think it through, barely sparing a second thought to how startled he had looked before he closed his eyes and kissed her back.

She saw gold. The last sliver of the disappearing sun shone around them for a soft, dazzling moment, and then it fell behind the horizon, turning the world twilight-violet.

His arm circled her waist, the other still occupied with holding her smaller hand in his. They clung together in the purple shadows, until Lydia found the willpower to pull away. Night had fallen around them, which left her wondering just how long they had been kissing for.

Stiles was staring down at her in amazement, his arm still around her waist, pressing her body into his. Lydia took a shaky breath.

"Nobody finds out, okay?" The question came out as more of a statement.

The corners of Stiles' mouth curled up slightly.

"If I agree, can I kiss you again?"

Lydia blushed and nodded slightly, not trusting her voice.

"Okay." Stiles' eyes were warm and dark as he leaned towards her again. He stopped an inch away from her, and she felt his words hit her lips like stray firework sparks. "Nobody finds out."
