It was done, the war was over and a truce had been signed, the two kingdoms were at peace meaning that both kingdoms can trade freely with each other, providing more resources for the two of them, the peace was celebrated with a huge feast in which many noble families were invited. It was 2 weeks after Donghyuk and mark had found out that they were getting married and ever since, they were forced to hang out with each other,
At the same time, Jaemin had finally started properly dating Renjun which caused conflict since it was the first time that a royal and fallen in love with a second in command but they didn't care, they would both just run around and sit in the gardens of the castle and the day of the feast, the two had ditched the ball to go outside to the gardens where they laid down with Renjun's head on his chest, watching the stars.
Mark and Donghyuk had to be sat in their seats but got up to greet all of the guests along side Jisung and Yangyang, occasionally Byul would join but she was being carried by Johnny as he played with her.
"Again, I'm sorry you're getting dragged into this," Mark genuinely apologizes
"And to think, I got the ugliest brother," Donghyuk jokes and mark laughs softly
"Tell me about it," mark replies
"Ohhh," Donghyuk turns to look at mark with wide eyes, Mark laughs, then fixed the position of the boy to look in front as he did. "Be careful, you might get cooties," Donghyuk bullies
"It is inevitable at this point, ew, getting married," Marks shivers jokingly
"We can just pretend though, We're buddies,"
"Did you have another other ideas?" Mark questions
"No! I thought you had some other ideas!" Donghyuk defends and they both laugh together
"Guys, etiquette," Taeyong says since people had their eyes on them.
"Sir, I'm sorry to disturb, but people are asking about prince Jaemin's whereabouts," the butler says to Jaehyun who looks around the massive dinning to not spot his black haired son but to no avail
"I'll go look for him, may I be excused?" Mark asks Jaehyun who nods
"I'll assist him," Donghyuk gets up and Taeyong turns to Ten who stood next to him.
"See, I knew this would go well," Taeyong whispers
"He's never helped anyone before," Ten adds on jokingly and Taeyong laughs softly
"You're too harsh on him, He's doing great,"
"Taeyong, have you seen Renjun anywhere?" Sicheng asks standing in front the four kings.
"I haven't, but Mark and Donghyuk have gone to look for Jaemin, I'm sure he's with him,"
"Oh okay, Thank you," Sicheng says and right before he leaves
