Black Friday (a starkid musical). He was a leather jacket wearing boyfriend try to steal valuable toy to sell for a ton of money while making him likeable. they could have taken the easy way out and make him a villain who couldn't care less about Hannah and is only putting up with her because he sees Lex as an easy ticket out of the fictional town of hatchetfeild. However, instead he is a genuinely loving boyfriend and an older brother/farther figure for his girlfriends implied disabled sister (we don't know if she is for sure but its heavily implied with her struggle to speak at 13 years old). At the start I was sure he would abandon Lex and Hannah once they got to California but instead, he dies to protect Hannah while declaring his love for Lex. Ethan wasn't an angel; he was a criminal and a bully but that just gave him more layers only making him a developed well written character.
