Short traveling

Ray and I talked for a while that afternoon about the new world. The new reality. Evidently normal mobs are buffed and fight like normal people. I was quite worried about that. It ended up being too late for me to head home so I slept on his extra bed upstairs. Another thing, you literally have to sleep on a bed. No more passing out on the floor. It's only beds.

I was in the kitchen, being surprised when Alex knocked on the door, and since Ray hadn't exited his room yet I decided to open it for him.

I open the door, and see Alex standing there arms crossed.

"Angel? What're you doing here?" She's giving me the eyebrows and at this point I really wanted to punch the child.

I sigh and explain: "Me and Ray talked for a bit last night but it was too late for me to go home so I slept in his extra bedroom."

"This is not me invading your privacy but how close were y'all's beds?" She's laughing quietly, looking past me to find clues of something that never happened.

"Alex! Does "extra bedroom" scream anything to you? Come on be reasonable." She's laughing harder now, and we leave the doorstep, walking on the cobblestone path laid out for us.

"So what did you two talk about?" She asked, giving me the eyebrows for a second time.

"For your information we talked about where people may be in the nether. We assume they went to a forest biome and got wooden tools per the new update. They'd probably head to the spawn once they get a good idea of where they are."

"Nice. Did you talk about putting your beds closer together?"

"No, but I could've talked about punching you for no reason at all..." I remarked, sourly.

"Oh no, whatever will I do?" She half laughed sarcastically, embracing now what power she had because of one time mismanagement.

"Here's the real question. Did YOU do anything of importance last night?" I questioned, trying to change the subject nonchalantly.

"Well I mapped out the nether to the best of my ability, trying to find some place they might be as well. It didn't really work out though, there's just to many possibilities, and for the thirteen I narrowed down, five of them were like 12,000 blocks away. Then again we spawned close to our houses so maybe they-"

--Evil was slain by ghast--

"What!? Angel what the heck!?" Alex shouts, picking up the pace of which she walked.

"Where's spawn? Their house maybe?" I say, hoping that he isn't in the underworld again.

Assuming he was in the underworld.

"I say we go to the community house, he'll probably end up there like everyone else did," We were running now, alex determined to get there first, having a decent idea.

(At the community house)

Alex and I were chilling next to a window, looking out he window every couple seconds or so. She'd ask where he was and what was taking so long, and I always had to tell her he probably wouldn't immediately come here. That he might want to look around.

Even though I had a good guess of where he was, I had a feeling he was in the end. I had to pretend I didn't think so, though, so Alex didn't get curious. If she gets curious I wonder if she's kill herself to see the end. That will probably not happen, or I wouldn't know about it, because she'd do it while we were all sleeping.

/\!!!TIME STAMP!!!/\

It was almost night time and, despite her efforts to stay, I had convinced her to sleep at her own house.

At my own house, on my own bed, I felt a tinge of sadness for some reason.

Then it hit me. My parents probably don't know where I am, and they are probably freaking out. Half my friends are missing, and Ray and I are convinced one of them is a traitor. We still don't know the full effects of this game, like can we die in real life or not?

Not only that but the people I DO know don't want to follow the plans I so diligently put in place for the well-being of all of us.

I mean besides missing stale pancakes I'm okay. I check the chest right next to my bed and find my netherite armor that I left last night time I was on my computer.

I wonder, can I make it to Tea's house before dying? I have no idea but guess I won't know till I try.

My sword is located conveniently above my bed on an item frame, and can I say this is really nice sword. Hours of grinding made this purple shiny netherite sword the way it is.

I grab a shield and head out of the house. We have lights covering most of the pathways, but lantern street lamps are quite expensive when you have to make quite a few of them.

I'm walking down a fairly lit path when I encounter my first mob.

A zombie.

It looks so....ratchet. Half of the skin supposed to be on its face is replaced with a deep brown, infected coloring. It's clothes are barely hanging on (for the sake of all children its still there) and the body shape is a broad, tall being, with a mostly eco green skin tone.

I absolutely hate the color eco green.

It's eyes lock onto me as it groan, and it starts heading my way. It's speed is nothing like the real game because this thing is doing nothing but absolutely sprinting torwards me. I put my shield up. There is no way Im going to be able to outrun this....thing.

It hits my shield and tries to run to my side. I smack it with my netherite sword and it tumbles back, trying to regain itself. He tries to tackle me and both of us fall over. He attempts to bite my face, it's rotten teeth coming closer to my face. I respond with a tactical arrow that I take out of my backpack and stabs it into its back. He stops moving and I roll him over to his back Whilst I get up.

The creature evaporated into the air, the green in his skin becoming white, then dust. The breeze picks up the dust substance and he is just gone.

I eat an apple, thankful that I didn't take any damage even though there was a close call.

I sprint the rest of the way to Tea's home. I knock on the door.

I hear nothing.

I knock again.

"Hello?" A person says. That isn't Tea's voice for sure.

Okay my hands are actually dead but have this absolute hell of a write. Sorry for not posting for a minute, life gets the best of you, you know?

Anyway there was about 1125+ words because I had two chapters that were shorter than I would've liked so I combined them.

Not sure if it will happen again but maybe.

Anyhoo another reminder: go eat your leftover Valentine's chocolate before someone else does.

(That person definitely not being me lol)
