Nini's POV
Did I end up going to that summer build houses thing? Yes. But the whole time I was there Ashlyn kept bragging to me about how she has done so many camps and stuff which is good for your college resume. I completely panicked and now I feel behind. As  I get off the bus I walk towards home. "Hey! So I was thinking we can go to the movies!l Ej says catching up to me. "Can't." I say walking. "Why not?" He asks. "Because I just realized that I'm like 10 years behind on my extra cuticulars." I say . "What are you talking about?" He asks. "Ashlyn has been talking about how she has been doing extra side jobs and helping kids and that's good for Harvard." I say. "Ok..." he says confused. "Look I've been studying my butt of my whole life and I really thought that was enough but then Ashlyn's tells me that everyone gets good grades and it's the extras that get you to the top, and I thought she was messing with me like she always does but... she's right! I mean it makes total sense!" I say. "What does?" He asks. "Good grades aren't enough! I need to do things I need to volunteer, I need to work for charity and I don't know I just need to do something!" I exclaim. "Fine but what does this have to do with tonight." He says. "I need to start now!" I say. "Now! Why now!" He says. "Didn't I tell you I'm 10 years behind!" I say. "Well why tonight you can't make up for 10 years tonight ! Ej says. "I know I just need to get organized."
I say. "Nini it's summer! Summer is the time to hang out and have fun!" He says. "I can't hang out or kick back I need to be prepared!" I exclaim. "Look we never get to see each other anymore you go to summer school 3 times a week and now you blow me off!" He says. "EJ this is about Harvard!" i tell him. "Oh I'm sorry I forgot ok you know why fine!" He says. "Your mad because I'm sure I want to get into a good college!" I yell out walking back towards my house.
