I just finished watching the Marineford arc. A few days ago.

Anyway! I got the idea for this.

This was crazy, gunfire and blood was the only thing (Y/N) could hear and see. Marine soldiers were yelling orders to kill any remaining pirates. While other's were holding their dying crewmates, and to think that all of this was because of White beard and Ace's death..

Augur sighed softly as he shot another marine soldier, watching the body hit the ground with a small thud.
For once, he was getting bored of killing people. That and he was running out of bullets for his gun.

He could tell that most of the soldiers were consumed by bloodlust and would kill almost anyone, of course he knew how that felt. But he knew how to control his bloodlust..

But at the moment he more focused on keeping his partner safe.

" (Y/N), Captain said that we'll be leaving soon- " Augur said, cutting himself off. He looked over at his lover who was on their knee's, looking both defenseless and upset. The male rushed over to her, kneeling down to her. He then shook her gently while looking for any wounds.

" (Y/N), dear. Please say something.. " He said, slowly starting to get worried.
(Y/N) slowly started to tear up as she looked at him, "....why are people doing this..? I understand that the marine's are dangerous...but still.. " She said, tears slowly ran down her face.

Augur sighed softly as he gently wiped the tears from her eyes. " I don't know, here. I'll bring you back to the ship.. " With that, he helped her up before bringing her back to the ship that he was in charge of, killing anyone who was in the way.

Once there, he brought her to one of the cabins as he gently placed (Y/N) onto the bed, turning around to get a doctor just in case. The male was quickly pulled back next to her.

(Y/N) whined softly as she held onto him, scared that if he'd left then she might get hurt.
A little surprised by her actions, he soon calmed down. Gently pulled her closer to him.

" You'll be okay dear. " He said as he gently rubbed her the top of her hand with his.
" I promise, that I'll keep you safe. " He murmured before kissing the top of her hand.

" Thank you.. " (Y/N) mumbled as she slowly started to fall asleep, happy knowing that she was now
